Did You Know A Foreign Company Has Acquired the Leading U.S. Vote Processing Company?

April, 7, 2012 — nicedeb

A Spanish Company, SCYTL, has acquired SOE, the leading vote processing company in the United States. This means votes will now be transferred to a central server overseas, where they will be counted, rather than being counted at the local precinct level.

This news was reported on the Market Watch website, back in January and received scant attention in the MSM:

SCYTL is the global leader in online voting solutions with a presence in over twenty countries

– SOE Software is the leading software company for election management solutions in the United States

– The combination of the two companies creates the industry leader in election software with a strong market presence worldwide

SCYTL, the global leader in secure electronic voting technologies, announced today the acquisition of 100% of SOE Software, the leading software provider of election management solutions in the United States. The integration of these two software companies creates the industry leader in the election software market with a full range of solutions covering from Internet voting to election night reporting and online pollworker training, and a strong market presence worldwide.

SCYTL is currently the worldwide leader in the Internet voting space and the acquisition of SOE Software, with its Clarity election management software suite, significantly expands SCYTL’s product portfolio beyond electronic voting. Furthermore, SOE Software’s strong US presence with 900 jurisdictions as customers in 26 states, including 14 state-wide customers, complements very effectively SCYTL’s customer base in the United States and internationally with customers in over 20 different countries across 5 continents, including France, Spain, Canada, Norway, Switzerland, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Mexico, India and Australia.

Um…Is this reason for concern?

It is disgusting how the US Congress, the MSM,
and the Two IDENTICAL Communist parties (DNC, GOPe)
have sold out the American people.

And the source for this part is? Seems rather unlikely.

Article says they have offices in Baltimore.

I took it for face value. To my fault, I did not vet the article. However, at the link, further down in the article, it says that Michael Savage has something to say about the issue. I took that as evidence that he info was reliable.

I used to work for one of several defense contractors that are owned overseas (Great Britain). Myself and others in the company had security clearances.

Why wouldn’t you be more exercised about that?

Can we get the UN and a communist representative to oversee our elections?

I think there is legitimate concern about this deal among many folks, including a group named Voter Action.

From the article:

Voter Action, an advocacy group that seeks elections integrity in the U.S., sent a lengthy complaint to the U.S. Election Assistance Commission in April 2010 charging the integration of SCYTL systems “raises national security concerns.”

“Foreign governments may also seek to undermine the national security interests of the United States, either directly or through other organizations,” Voter Action charged.

A Foreign Company Has Acquired the Leading U.S. Vote Processing Company?

Since the U.S. Government continues to flood the U.S. with countless foreigners and illegal aliens over the past few decades, this seems to be the logical next step.

Heh... Do you think that foreign governments do not attempt to buy or at least buy controlling interests in America’s companies? Are you really that naive?

If you are relying on our government agencies to actually check on buyers, you are beyond naive.

Even our own people are become too stupid to govern themselves. Put those same people in charge of this and this is what you get...

And the source for this part is?

What's it matter, since our electoral process has been undermined, corrupted and compromised for a long time

The U.S. Government rolled out the red carpet for tens of millions illegals, and Bush welcomed in more Muslims after 911 than the previous two decades, and the U.S. Government continues to flood the U.S. with tens of hundred of thousands from Socialist and Muslim countries.

It would be like the government flooding the country with trillions in counterfeit money to undermine the economy...Oh wait....

Divide the once united. It's working perfectly.

Um, did you miss the part where I mentioned I used to work for a foreign-owned company? It bought a bunch of medium-sized defense contractors.

Actually what IS naive is the image of how foreign purchases of companies work - people have an image of SCTYL buying SOE, firing all the American workers, and then having all votes processed in Spain by a bunch of creepy Spanish guys with old-timey curly moustaches and Obama campaign t-shirts.

The reality is almost certainly votes will be processed as they always have here, with many employees not even noticing the purchase.

I can find no evidence for the assertion that the votes will be “processed by a central server in Spain” other than an unsourced claim by Michael Savage.

I strongly suspect that was fabricated to make it sound scarier.

Of course, it's a company press release and obviously part of the !!CONSPIRACY!!

But given:

BALTIMORE & TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SCYTL, the global leader in secure electronic voting technologies, and SOE Software, the leading software provider of election management solutions, have announced today that they have completed the integration of their respective organizations in the United States one month after the acquisition of SOE Software by SCYTL.

The exclusive goal for the integrated entity in the United States is how to best serve the customer”. The combined organization is the largest pure election software company in the United States and will be serving customers in over 1,100 jurisdictions in 30 states, including 15 state-wide customers. The organization will have two divisions: the election management division based in Tampa (Florida) headed by Marc Fratello and the electronic voting division based in Baltimore (Maryland) headed by David Campbell. The two divisions will share resources such as customer service personnel, software development capabilities and two data centers in the United States (Florida and Texas) which will enable the organization to better serve existing and future customers

If you have data centers in Florida and Texas why do you bother to send votes to Spain?

Heh, I’ve worked for foreign companies also (actually seems to be very common these days doesn’t it?). I have no illusions about how and why they buy and operate here in the US. Of course it is first and foremost for profits.

There are other effects though especially when they let it be known that they are working for a different country - yes, not enthusiastic such as China but certainly there.

I have no illusions about another country working here and employing Americans. I do disagree with you though that their influence is minimal. I also think that that influence extends further depending upon the country.

Not that shocking considering a foreigner occupies the White House.

Whether or not the parent company's interest is benign, I can say as a computer programmer that this is another good reason that electronic voting should never be allowed.
