The Secret Service this week fired supervisors David Chaney and Greg Stokes following the incident immediately preceding President Barack Obama’s trip to Colombia for the Summit of the Americas.

One of the agents, David Chaney, joked on Facebook that he checked out former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin while on assignment during the 2008 campaign.

On his Facebook page, former Secret Service agent David Chaney admitted checking out former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin during the 2008 campaign. (CNN)

Wow how boring your life has to be that you brag about who you check out on Facebook..

Look, reality is, we’re guys, like it or not women, we check out women all the time... as do women, though women are not as overt about it generally.

Still, talk about your slow news day, that this is what makes the news...

"Checking out?" Wouldn't any straight guy in good health check out Sarah Palin, that is, notice how attractive she is?

Am I behind the times, and does this term mean something else?

Why ANY SS agent would be posting on Facebook is beyond me. It seems like there are some jobs that should by their nature require some decorum.

Looks like the training and interval briefing of these agents needs a LOT of work.

It would have been more helpful to Freeper to actually include her response.

Last night Sarah Palin responded to the revelations about Chaney’s comments on Facebook. Palin blasted Barack Obama,

“I hope his wife kicks him to the doghouse, as long as he’s not eating the dog with his former boss.”

Not sure why the writer removed part of Sarah’s quote. She also said that she hopes his wife “kicked him in the okolie”

Classic Palin!

“Well, check this out, buddy — you’re fired!” Palin said Thursday in a Fox News interview.

Chaney wrote of his assignment guarding Palin: “I was really checking her out, if you know what i (sic) mean?” after a friend commented on the picture posted in January 2009.

Palin told Fox. “The president, for one, he better be wary, there, of when Secret Service is accompanying his family on vacation. They may be checking out the first lady instead of guarding her.”

Sarah has a great attitude about her guards drooling over her. Attractive women have to put up with that. What is pathetic is the guards deciding to politicize it.

There is much more to come, White House staffers were at the hotel in question. When the hooker went back to the room for more money, La Policia in tow, the “host” wouldn’t come out. One might wonder whom the Secret Service guards were blocking for, at the risk of their careers....

The rule in Cartagena hotels is that the hookers have to be gone by 0700 or the room charge gets tagged extra for “guests”. That way the room host makes sure the hookers are gone early and not parading through the lobby at all hours of the morning in front of other “polite company” staying there. Also, the host would have to explain and pay privately for the extra charge that showed up on their federal government credit card.

The $750 the hooker wanted is not unusual for an all-nighter. Not that I would know, but I’ve been on shore liberty with Marines and a very small minority may overspend.

Prostitution is legal in some areas of Cartagena, the hookers have ID and health cards. They have to give up their ID to the front desk when coming in and state what room they are in.

Those records are likely the subject of some scrutiny. Everyone that brings in a hooker does so openly, just pay what they want and get them out by 0700.

BTW, the Columbian drug cartels run the prostitution business in Cartagena and would have known the US security that was in town.

It would have been quite simple for a hooker to get up while her host was snoozing, take a photo of the hosts ID and upload it. A little photo shopping and badda boom, an assassin could be wearing a Secret Service ID badge and serve breakfast to Obama.

This was a security breach of the highest order and absolutely imperiled the POTUS.

Regarding:

“There is much more to come, White House staffers were at the hotel in question.”

I dunno. If this were Richard Nixon or George Bush, sure.

But the Commie Media is in full 24/7 cover mode for their cool “black” president.

The White House is in full cover up mode. Everyone fired or retired will sign a privacy agreement not to disclose what happened.

That’s why no one will be arrested or charged in any way that requires a legal defense. That would bring “discovery”, info that any lawyer would want to make public.

At the most, some Union reps will file a grievance and bargain for retirement settlements, all completely private.

Almost certainly the SSA’s Facebook comments were limited to friends only.

My theory is that a “friend” ratted him out for money. Even if you “friend only access” your Facebook, anyone can see whom your friends are. Any tabloid could send a “Friend Request” to every one of the target’s friends, get into the circle and use the friend of a friends account to look at any comment by the target.

Public figures should always assume there is no privacy on Facebook.

I call it BRAGBOOK. People post on there as much to skewer their enemies, as to show off for their friends:

“Just look where WE went, and what I did, and YOU were not there”, is the too-often implied message.

My daughters and their friends find that name hilarious, because they know it is absolutely ON THE MARK, and that I have nailed their asses to the wall.

well i do know Colombia....I know as well as any American alive likely who once lived there fulltime

Bogota, the North Coast, Cali, and Medellin ..the whole place sans the then rebel held SW

750 bucks for a whole night with a club girl or escort etc is absolutely absurd...this was a shakedown of high rollers with intent

El Caribe must have a new policy on the 0700 exit too, 20 years ago no one except the fanciest joints in Bogota had such a policy...the Tequendama and the Bogota Hilton did...Bogota always more formal...once it was the city of dark suits and umbrellas

the all night rates for girls was no more than 80 US dollars and that was generous, they would settle for 50 from any foreigner pretty much...and that was tourist and business areas like where El Caribe was or El Prado was in Baranquilla

that span of cost was fairly steady through large latin American cities...from Buenos Aires to Rio/Sao Paulo to Lima and then northern SA.

Central America and the Dom Rep ran a hair less

750 today 20 years later even is extortion and now she is famous

there is more to this than just a careless Secret Service guy

the real issue though is policy forbids whoring about overseas then there is no excuse...regardless

Things have changed a bit in the last 20 years.

First off, big spending sex tourists showed up looking for underage prostitutes that crowd Cartagena.

The drug trade employees have also run up the charges.

The drug cartels make sure Cartagena is off limits for drug warfare.

The 0700 came in when the brothel zones were set up and thousands of hookers showed up trying to freelance and polluted the hotel lobbies.

Cabbies are the “talent scouts” and the high end girls often pay them upwards of $250 for the hookup. La Policia gets what’s known as “the touch” a payoff for security from robbers and help in collections.

Not everyone gets that kind of money, but I have seen that kind of spending in Thailand also.

Any high end hooker is going to be very careful about running a game and ruining what is a short career anyway.

Unless you’re going to make the Enquirer, hookers keep it quiet, ask JFK.

A Secret Service agent with a Facebook page.

I stopped right there. There are certain things you ‘give up’ if you are a role in which you can be compromised by enemy agents. They do security for ultra-high value targets. I would have thought there were operational security protocols that would have, if not prohibited, placed the careers of any agent with a facebook page, twitter account, etc. on the endangered list.

I heard elsewhere that the whore claimed she needed at least her $250 buyout for the night. She is a bordellow whore, that’s where she was “met” by the gringos, who wanted her to come back to the hotel. That’s fine, but per SOP in whorehouses I’ve heard about is the girl must pay the madame/boss what she is expected to turn over to the house nightly, for the permission to freelance as an “escort” off the premises for the night. But she had to cover her $250....that’s the story she’s telling. Still seems way too high to me. The only girls getting that kind of money look like supermodels.
