WeAreThe60PercentNoGOP

UPDATE: A PolitiJim reader named Georgia (AllToJesus) sent me a link to a wonderful post by writer Ted Lacksonen at the Country Thinker.

Thinker lays out a case that we should not vote for Romney because:

Lacksonen’s ultimate solution is to join Libertarian Gary Johnson as President who I understand is selecting a pro-marijuana VP. (sarcasm alert ahead) Undoubtedly this will attract every last Santorum supporter that just split the conservative movement over supposed religiosity.  Of course, Johnson’s platform isn’t all bad, but Libertarian party people need to think this through a bit more.  My response to Ted quickly followed by the MECHANICS of a long term strategy I think could be employed.

Ted, I can't say that I can't identify with all of them because I do.

Your points are so well made, I'm holding up a post on the same object to address and "flesh out" more of the thinking around your points.

I have a question for you.  Let's say you are realize that professional basketball has bastardized the game that the founding father of basketball – Naismith  -envisioned.  Get rid of the shot clock, 20 fouls a game and 4 step dribbling without a call.

The math doesn’t really matter. Romney can’t win but that doesn’t mean we can’t send a strong message to the Grand Old Plantation in the process.

My biggest concern is that enough 3rd party and write in voters get to the polls and help save the down ticket races.

I would not vote for the Liberaltarian Pervert Party anymore than I would vote for Mittens or Barack Hussein Obama

“Third Party” really worked in 1992.Twenty percent of the popular vote.Zero point zero zero zero zero percent of the Electoral Vote.Yes,it worked very well indeed.....for the nation's *first* black President.

Let's see how well it works for the *second* one.It sure worked well for his good pal from their Chicago punk days, that pal being Deval "Coupe Deval" Patrick who won reelection in 2010 as Massachusetts Governor with 48% of the vote. You see,Coupe Deval convinced a fellow Rat office holder,Tim Cahill,to pretend to leave the Rat Party and then run to Coupe Deval's right.Result...Republican candidate->45% of the vote...Rat plant->7% of the vote...filthy Marxist pal of Osama Obama->48% of the vote.

Scores of trillions of debt from both parties. It a one party system of two Socialist, spendaholic, corrupt parties. Feel free to pee into the wind. It is time for a true second party. Two Socialist parties are a disaster.

My faith will not allow me to vote for a pro choice candidate regardless of consequence. There are many more like me. I predict that Mitt will fail. Too bad so sad.

This is a re-election campaign for Hussein. Re-election campaigns are referendums on the President. Conservative anger with Obama far outweighs the queasiness most have with Romney. 90%+ of conservatives will be voting for Willard. All this 3rd party and write-in talk is just bluster and pouting. LOL, conservatives are not going to vote for Gary Johnson. Nor are more than a tiny faction going to vote for the Constitution party. The campaign is going to be brutal and all the conservative leaders including Rush, Levin, Palin, Newt, Hannity, Bolton, etc, etc, are going to make sure conservative turnout is high for the Republican nominee.

Nah, I want my vote to at actually matter and at least have a chance of driving Hussein from office. The Constitution Party will be the same footnote it always is. I don't even think they are on the ballot in a lot of states.

Virgil Goode, the Constitution Party candidate for the presidency, often described as America’s largest 3rd party, is a lifelong pro-life conservative with 100% ratings to prove it.

Check it out for yourself at http://www.constitutionparty.org

Looks like Virgil Goode will try to play the hack from Quincy role this time around.

They were on the ballot in 43 states last cycle, iirc.

It’s not like California, New York, Mass, etc. are going to go for Romney.

In fact, GW Bush needed to be on the ballot in only 30 states to win the year 2000 election.

Any conservative counting on electoral votes from West Coast, Northeast, or Great Lakes states is insane.

That would be brilliant. This way your opponent could concentrate all of their resources in the few states you run in. In football they call this four and out.

anyone that would do anything that allows bamey to stay in office is unpatriotic and must hate his fellow Americans...

we have a chance with Romney....he could very well sweep the nation....

I hope he does...

get rid of bamey and get rid of holder....

what is wrong with some of you......WE HAVE NO CHOICE!

They really do that, by the way. They don’t spend money in states they’re going to lose. It’s the same principle; work the states you have a chance in.

For the republican’s it’s only complicated by the fact that they are also on the ballot. So, reluctantly, they traipse out to Calif every now and then to have a fund-raiser.

You realize, of course, that Romney won’t win Massachusetts, don’t you? (One of his multiple “home” states.)

In 2008 they were on the ballot in 37 states according to the Constitution Party Press Kit. In 2000 41 states, and in 2004 36 states. The Constitution Party also had the endorsement of Ron Paul in 2008 and still only won .15% of the vote. The Constitution Party is going to get less (probably far less) than 1% of the vote like always.

LOL, true. I seem to remember the Bush campaign in 2000 or 2004 pretending to believe they could win California. I think maybe they were just trying to get the Dems to spend money out there. Sometimes the GOP tries this tactic in NJ too. Pennsylvania always seems like it might be in reach, but then the dream comes crashing down on election day. The reality is states like California are probably never going to vote for the Republican candidate for President again in any of our lifetimes. That state is just too far gone and now beyond saving.

will your faith allow for sharia law to become the law of the land?...killing women and young girls?.

..will your faith allow you to usher in massive attacks on whites by blacks?..

..maybe your faith is just willing to have WW3 roll around, since the world's nations are at each others throats....maybe we'll get a billion or two killed off....

at least with abortion, which is an individual decision, one can address it one on one, by prayer, by supporting these young women,by providing maternity and baby items, like I've done...

you really think Jesus wants YOU deciding which people live and which people die?......

its absolutely sick that some of you would have obamey again....

I shudder what is going to happen, and how quickly.....
