President Obama tried to make the argument today that he’s the real small-government leader, not Reagan and other Republicans.
“After there was a recession under Ronald Reagan, government employment went way up,” Obama said at a college in Albany, N.Y. “It went up after the recessions under the first George Bush and the second George Bush. So each time there was a recession with a Republican president, compensated — we compensated by making sure that government didn’t see a drastic reduction in employment.”
“The only time government employment has gone down during a recession has been under me,” he continued. “So I make that point just so you don’t buy into this whole bloated government argument that you hear.”
The purpose of the speech was for Obama to announce his “to-do list” for Congress — “just like when Michelle gives me a list, I check it off.”
“I’m going to need you to pick up the phone, write an email, tweet, remind your member of Congress we can’t afford to wait until November to get things done,” Obama said.
The only small thing that Zer0 has is his belief in the US Constitution.

They should call his bluff and demand that he cut the number of federal agencies in half and then sive of the remaining ones in half....

Is this satire? It has to be! Conservatives define small government not necessarily by the number of employees, but by the spending, scope, and degree of control they attempt to seize. I’ll paraphrase Mike Ditka when someone called Brian Bosworth the next Butkus—”He’s about as close to Reagan as Snow White is.” Hey Obama, stop comparing yourself to Reagan. No conservative will EVER compare him or herself to you!

156 new agencies will be formed with Obamacare, with 4 million new Gubmint affirmative action appointments to fill those slots. !4,600 new IRS agents to steal our money and new taxes we haven’t even heard of yet. Sebelius will have he power of life and death in her hands, and Obama wants to return to office?

The number of federal employees has skyrocketed under Obama. He’s talking about state and local government. But he hires the federal employees. This guy is a congenital liar.
