Obama clearly misunderstood the command to “turn the other cheek.”

hate to say this but this part of the Bible is not in all the older manuscripts. I wouldn’t use it for any debate.

However, the only thing that is righteous about the chairman in chief coming out of the closet in regards to supporting this abomination is that he is finally telling the truth. Not flip-flopping or turning around or repenting, just finally telling the truth.

He did not read the KJV I read then. A man shell leave his parents and cleave to a woman..wife, and they shall be one. Those who practice obscene sex acts will be damned. You may love a man as a brother but not as a ‘wife’ or ‘husband’.

I’m confused. With his statement that ‘Americans are fighting on MY behalf’
shouldn’t this quote...
‘Christ sacrificing himself on our behalf’
.. instead have also been ‘MY behalf’ ?

This is great ammunition to use against the Christians who support him. I think I’ll try it this weekend.

As if that lying atheist gives a rat’s hindquarters about the teachings of Christ.

He claims a false Christ according to 2 Corinthians 11:1-15

I know. It was later added onto the end of John 7. I was merely responding to someone who was using it to make a point.

In the passage you cite, Jesus condemns the Pharisees for their hypocrisy in wanting to carry out the law of Moses against a caught sinner, while they themselves do the same things and get away with it because of their position of power. Jesus does not sanction adultery. He confirms it to be sin. But he also shows his own power, as the Almighty, to grant forgiveness to any repentant sinner. Any adulterer may be forgiven, if they cease from their adultery. Any homosexual may be forgiven, if they cease from their homosexual practices. So if you want to use this passage to somehow justify acceptance of homosexuality on a par with ordinary heterosexual relationships in marriage, you have not succeeded. Sorry. If that was not your point, and I have misunderstood you, please accept my apologies in advance.

It’s in the Byzantine, and that’s good enough for me. Much of the focus on the physical age of Biblical manuscripts is misleading. The oldest manuscripts were also like the least used by the active church. No, I am not a crypto-King James Onlyist. But I do think the Byzantine tradition (majority text) is grossly underrated, primarily due to the blind acceptance of various presumptions of the theologically liberal German school.

Christ had nothing to do with Leviticus. That was brother Moses. Jesus probably lived by them, but he did not write it.

Christ had nothing to do with Leviticus. That was brother Moses. Jesus probably lived by them, but he did not write it.

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: " (2 Timothy 3:16)

Moses penned it, but God spake all these words. Jesus Christ is God (John 1:1) He authored it.

Jesus said,”Let him who is without sin cast the first stone."

You should read Leviticus, Deuteronomy and see if that might inform your opinion. See also Deut 19:15-20 on accountability for false witnesses. The accuserers are to be those who cast the first stone.

Jesus wasn't excusing sin. He was following the righteous execution of the law which he spake to Moses. Where was the adulterer? Where were the truthful accusers?

For Christians who commit crimes in this life their flesh will pay in this life, but they have already been forgiven. Should we sin that grace may abound? May it never be. (See Romans 6)

I’ve always wanted to read the books they left out. Just like we read other theologians works or George Washington’s letters, as another viewpoint, not necessarily prophetic. But it is something I’ll do when I am done reading the Bible. Which I read over and over! LOL
