On Monday nights Hannity on the Fox News Channel, Republican strategist Karl Rove explained why President Barack Obamas new position on gay marriage isnt all that it seems, particularly because of who is applauding it.
Rove said Obamas shift was a flip-flop and suggested it was one of convenience, at least in terms of fundraising.
The president has done himself some damage on the gay marriage issue, in part because he flip-flopped on it, Rove said. But also because of the way that he did it. imho this newsweek photo is very damaging for obama. the whole episode does nothing but shave vote totals off obama’s election. especially so in important states.
This stuff just hardens attitudes.
I agree. The idea that Newsweek had was to do a gay take on Clinton, the first black President.
But I'm afraid that's a bit subtle for some folks who are going to look at that cover at the checkout stand, never buy the magazine or read the article and walk away saying to themselves: "Gee, I didn't know the President was gay". And many of them will rethink the way they voted in 2008.
And add that to the fact that the gay President designation may actually be true. And perhaps the editors of Newsweek know that. Just speculation of course. ;)
The gaylo only revealed the pettiness of president Stoner.
See my tagline.
I think “utterly” - in your tagline - is a much better modifier that f***ing - the latter has just been done to death.
Don’t you agree?
