Hi FReepers, The company I'm working for is attending a trade show early next month. I'm looking for something to do in the Seattle area that can accommodate 30 people, and I need something that's close to the Bell Harbor Int'l Conference Center preferably walking distance.
I need something Seattle-ish, I'm looking but I can't seem to find anything. Help is very appreciated, thanks!
Eat seafood.
Join the Occupy group there in Seattle. I hear they have an active and diverse membership. Never a dull moment!
Tour the Seattle Underground.
Good history of the city that lies under the city; and it’s sordid history.
Not from Seattle, but when I was there some years ago for a business meeting, our group chartered a boat for a dinner cruise. It was fun.
Better than the Needle and right next to it, the SciFi museum or the rock n’roll museum.
What is the Bell Harbor conference center? I lived there for 45 years and visited downtown a lot by car and bicycle (just moved to KY last August). This must be a new name for an old venue. Cross streets would help.
Also, what is it you would like to do?
I don't know if you could get 30 people inside but Duke's Clam Chowder Emporium on Alki Beach is killer.
Ferry boat ride round trip to bremerton, if open, try the inian smoked salmon on Blake Island (boat will transport you there.
Pioneer Square has a lot of bars and one cover charge gets you into them all (7 to 9 or so).The underground tour is entertaining history of early Seattle. Should you stay in a suburb you will need a car.
An Argosy Cruise maybe? Tour out to Woodinville and the wineries? Tour to Snoqualmie Falls?
Groups tend to do the winery tours in Woodinville or go to Red Hook Brewery. Thats pretty easy to arrange at little cost. Buppo de Beppo while a chain is always a good ‘group’ type dinner. Argosy cruise does a boat cruise, not sure this time of yr. Normally they would do a dinner cruise but it gets dark so early its hardly a good place. Pyramid Ale is another good group tour and dinner place. Its across from Safeco Field so maybe a tour followed by beer tasting
Your group might enjoy Teatro ZinZanni. The show is great and the food is excellent. It’s hard to describe the show—think humor, acrobats and contortionists. I have seen groups there and they looked like they were having a great time. It’s fairly expensive but the cost includes the show and dinner. Everyone I know who has seen any of their shows—either in Seattle or in San Francisco—has loved it. You can purchase tickets online at their web site.
There are excellent small boutique wineries around Seattle, especially in the Woodinville area and on Bainbridge Island. Bon Vivant Wine tours, www.bonvivanttours.com, offers excellent half day or day tours in the area. The owner, Bob, is very knowledgeable and a professional and has a wonderful van that picks you up at your hotel/motel. The tours are a good value and FUN.

Hook and line fishing for Halibut 600lb ones (yum), oh , and bring a .357 mag ,makes it easier to get it in the boat
There is a statue of Vlad. Lenin in a nearby suburb and Seattle has a very large botanical center/green house worth touring.
Also; more than 100 great sea food restaurants with low prices, high prices and everything in between.
Buy a flannel shirt, drink fancy coffee, listen to nirvana, and tell people how much you hate Bush.
Iam not a native but have been to Seattle many times. Fellow FReepers have mentioned dinner ferry trips that is always real nice. Check out Pikes Market and the Boeing Museum while you are there.
The Museum of Flight in Seattle is the largest aircraft museum on the West Coast.

Just came back from Seattle. I rode the Duck, tour of the city by land and by water. It was fun. I even did the underground tour of the city. It will cost you some money.
What to do in Seattle?
Look for a way to get out as quickly as possible......
