"3. People use drugs and alcohol use to paint imperfect pictures of people."

And people use their drug and alcohol use as an excuse for breaking laws and acting badly.

So what you’re saying is that the THC argument is a red herring?

Essentially, yes.

If we want to debate whether drug use leads to criminal action, fine.

But that is not what caused this incident.

Martin went back to 'beat down' the 'security' guy for a reason. I doubt it had anything to do whether Martin was 'carrying', or 'using'. I suspect it was more important. That Martin didn't want anyone 'watching' him on his survey of the 'new' neighborhood.

If true, then Martin PLANNED to ASSAULT Zimmerman. If Zimmerman's statement that Martin sucker punched him in mid-sentence is true, then it seems obvious that Martin wasn't looking for an answer anyway. Just the opportunity to catch the guy off guard.

A popular practice among a certain culture (don't mistake 'culture' for 'color') which used to be considered unmanly, and outright cheating. Now it is a big hit on YOUTUBE.

Of course, so is dancing on the casket of your children in return for trinkets from the ruling elite.

Again, a practice among a certain culture. Cindy Sheehan for instance.

Please provide a link to any reliable witness or other verifiable source (CCTV) that states or shows that Martin assaulted Zimmerman. I’ll come back later to check it out. Thanks.

he contends that "trayvon did nothing illegal that night" and wants you to post proof of it.

It's called ASSAULT. It's illegal. If you walk up to a person and the you sucker punch them in mid sentence, then beat their head on the curb without any apparent provocation, then that is ILLEGAL.

Now, if someone did this to you, would you consider it illegal?

I think it might be more that they’re Africans that grew up around savages, more than weed smoking.

My name is Ursula Brantley and I'm a 26-year-old single mother from Shreveport, LA.

http://www.policymic.com/articles/7808/how-the-trayvon-martin-case-went-viral-with-the-help-of-hip-hop-and-twitter

It was April 29, 1992 and the city of Los Angeles was in complete disarray. The entire black community had taken its last pimp slap to the face , and the reaction to the vivid abuse was pure anger and destruction. After four white police officers were acquitted of charges for the beating of African-American Rodney King, the city went haywire, breaking out into riots which left 53 dead, nearly 3,000 injured, and a trail of damage adding up to over $1 billion.

Fast forward 20 years, and instead of a grown man being the icon of racial tension, the symbol is now a young boy who wasn’t even yet legal, Trayvon Martin. In 1992, media coverage was nowhere near what it is now, so most of the black community’s education on social issues came from hip-hop artists. Now we get breaking news alerts sent straight to our smart phones. Cities and towns across America held protests to show their support for the young boy, who instantly became a part of our families. We all let our voices be heard, expressing our opinion about how 28-year-old George Zimmerman seemed to receive a free pass from the Sanford, Florida Police Department.

Everybody, including President Obama, had a thing or two to say about the case, but it was the hip-hop community and social networks that made Trayvon Martin such a viral phenomenon.

Marijuana Does Not make you aggressive.

It does make you stupid and paranoid though. Two factors that could have easily influenced Trayvon's judgement and the outcome that followed.

You can’t judge someone for something you have done or still do.

I've never tried marijuana, don't currently use marijuana nor do I ever plan to smoke marijuana (or any recreational drug out there).

I guess I'm free to judge the little thug.

Now, had he been drinking alcohol or on a coffee buzz...I'd be out of luck

Please provide a link to any reliable witness or other verifiable source (CCTV) that states or shows that Martin assaulted Zimmerman.

Are you saying that Zimmerman's injuries are not proof of an assault?

Who is it, you think, that assaulted Zimmerman? Was there someone else?

All the evidence supports the witnesses statements that Martin was on top of Zimmerman, beating on him.

Were they lying?

The only other conclusion one could have is that some mysterious, unnamed, undescribed, THING occurred or was SAID, that CAUSED Martin to assault Zimmerman.

So maybe you could offer your guess as to what that was? If so, provide proof, a link or something where Martin has the EXCUSE and/or RIGHT to ASSAULT another citizen.

Sorry but I've seen dead guys who started the fight that got them killed.

How about this...instead of SHOUTING and posting pictures that only show there was a fight you post any reliable link that proves that your supposition that Martin sucker punched Zimmerman. You seem to know what happened so it should be easy.

Rodney King / Trayvon Martin.

Oddly, both cases had a common factor.

Exactly what the locals and the parents knew for a month after this happened. Then, word of this got passed through channels to political bigwigs and the entire story changed.

...you post any reliable link that proves that your supposition that Martin sucker punched Zimmerman.

It is in Zimmerman's statement to police at the scene. There seems to be no contradictory 'evidence'. Even the 'witness' (Trayvon's girl friend) said the phone was dropped in mid sentence.

Again, what do you think caused Martin to beat on Zimmerman?

If a pot head is in an unfamiliar city and is jonesing for some marijuana, he knows that the quickest way to find it, is to head to the most violent part of town, where it is ubiquitous.

Zimmerman's statement is, by legal definition, self serving. I do not take it as fully truthful. I would not take an uncoroborrated statement from anybody in a criminal investigation as fully truthful. The SCOTUS has stated that the expectation is that anyone will lie to avoid or mitigate responsibility or punishment.

I would be careful about using the GF's statements about what she heard -- she has Zimmerman still following Martin which kind of kills the "he was going back to his truck" stuff.

I can think of a number of reasons why Martin might have "beat on" Zimmerman, but the one that springs to mind first is that Zimmerman was a strange adult male who got out of his car to follow him. If Zimmerman showed or reached for the gun then Martin would have been fighting the strange adult man with a gun who was following him.

Maybe that happened and maybe it didn't. The thing is that I'm not swearing that it did, whereas you and a bunch of others are swearing that Martin jumped Zimmerman without provocation. I say prove it.
