Posted on 05/30/2012 1:25:25 PM PDT by Pining_4_TX
Fellow Freepers, please pray for a young mother named Debra. Three days ago she suffered placental abruption in her 32nd week of pregnancy. The baby, a little girl, was delivered by c-section and is doing well, but mom is critically ill due to blood loss and organ failure.
Much of this occurred due to some terrible mistakes made in the small town hospital where she delivered her baby, but she has since been flown to an excellent hospital in a nearby city.
She has had her blood replaced 3 times over, has had multiple surgeries, lost 90% of her intestines, is on dialysis, and is facing more surgery in the next few days.
She and her husband have another little girl (4) in addition to the new baby. The grandparents are friends of ours and go to our church.
Please pray! It is a matter of life and death.
Thanking God for improvement..Prayers for Debra continue.
Thanks for the ping to this good news about Debra’s condition. Prayers continue for her healed kidneys and complete and swift recovery.
Praise God. Prayers continue.
Exodus 15:26 ~ For I AM the Lord that healeth thee ...
Praise to the Almighty! I believe Debra will pull through. Prayers said for her continued recovery.
I thought you would all like to see the miracle that God has worked! Thank you and God bless you all for your prayers. Please continue to pray for healing for Debra’s kidneys. She is on dialysis 3 times a week. She also had one more “minor” surgery last week - her 9th in the past month.
Here they are, Debra and Ella! Enjoy!
What wonderful news ..Lovely sweet video.
Thanking God for great progress. Lord, please heal Debra’s kidneys. In Jesus name I pray.
Thanks for that beautiful video. I’m praying now and again before I go to sleep. God bless.
Wonderful news, and just when we all needed some!
Thank you so much for the video! Prayers continue...
praying for His perfect intervention.
What an amazing video! I love the way their faces light up as they look at each other. Even in this economy, Ella won’t have any trouble finding a job. There’s always work for tough gals like her. But she could earn her keep just by lounging around looking cute.
Lord Jesus our God, be near Thy servant Debra in her ordeal and heal her, and bless her children.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, amen.
Praise to God. Thank you for the update.
Thanks. Continued prayers.
“Ella wont have any trouble finding a job. Theres always work for tough gals like her. But she could earn her keep just by lounging around looking cute.”
Ha, ha, very true! It was such a joy to watch mom and baby together.
God has Debra and Ella written on the palm of His hand. Blessed is the Name of the Lord. Thank you for sharing the beautiful video.
Praying for Debra
That is so sweet! So good to see. Thanks for the link and the ping. Prayers continue.
Tears of joy for answered prayers. What a heart touching vision to see mother and child interacting. The baby knows her Mom.
God is good. Thank you Lord.
Latest update on Debra and baby: Baby is going home soon! My friends, Debra’s in-laws, are going to be caring for her until Debra is released from the hospital. They are happy, of course, but a little nervous about taking care of a tiny preemie. Please pray for them, too.
Debra will be released as soon as they can arrange dialysis for her in the small town where she lives, and her name will be placed on a kidney transplant list. She is also facing more surgery in the future. I’m not sure what kind, but her MIL said it would be reconstructive surgery.
So, the news is mostly wonderful, and again, I thank everyone for their prayers. Please continue to pray for Debra and the baby and for the hurdles they still face. God’s grace is wonderful!
Thank You, God, for Your powerful healing of Debra and baby. May Debra continue to wait in faith for all healing to manifest in her body. Please give these precious in-laws the strength, wisdom, and peace they need to care for the baby, and may they be richly rewarded every time they hold this beautiful child in their arms. Prepare a brand new kidney for Debra and may she receive this miracle of Your love.
Prayers for the inlaws..I would be so nervous, too..I pray they have a support system there.
May God’s healing hands be on Debrra and give her strength for her journey to health.
Prayers being said.
Thank you very much for the update and praise and thanks to Our Lord.
Our prayers continue for all.
Thanks for the news, continued prayers.
May the Holy Spirit be with Debra and her family!
Lord Jesus Christ, Healer of us all, we praise Thee and adore Thee.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Thank God Debra is alive and improving and baby will be well cared for.
Appreciate the update.
Yes, MEG, people in our church have already volunteered to help, and Debra and her husband have family support nearby, too.
What God has done is truly miraculous! I can’t tell you how many times during the first couple of weeks everyone thought Debra was not going to survive, and how touched I was by the outpouring of concern and support from Freepers.
I am so grateful for your kind church members..God bless them.
It sounded like Debra was near death..I am so grateful to God and her medical providers that she can be with her baby soon..I pray she can get a kidney transplant.
Prayers for Debra, the baby and all who love and care for them.
Amen. That is great news, Pining. Continued prayers said.
Praying for all
Update on Debra, and I’m afraid it is not good. Please pray again!
Over the past year plus since the tragic circumstances surrounding the birth of Debra’s baby, she has had more than 30 surgeries. She is on dialysis and has a colostomy. For the third time, the doctors attempted to re-connect her intestines, and I think something must have gone terribly wrong.
Debra’s family has once again asked for prayer, not saying exactly what is wrong, but that it is serious. Debra has been very weak since the birth of her baby, has lost a great deal of weight, and her mother and father-in-law have been caring for her baby, who is 1 now and doing just fine.
Please pray for Debra and her family. They have been through so much, and their medical expenses are astronomical. They are receiving help from family, friends, and fundraisers, and I think they probably won a suit against the doctor, but Debra’s medical issues don’t quit.
Thanks to all of you for your prayers when I first posted this story, and I hope you will continue to pray. Sometimes I wonder how some families bear up under so many burdens, and I pray that God will strengthen them and bring healing to Debra.
Well I am not the Padre.
But I ask that the Lord Jesus Christ hold her in His arms. Heal and comfort her. May He bless and keep her and hers always.
In Jesus name
You alone are the creative force in which we live.
We lift up Debra for Your loving attention, Lord God.
May Debra surrender completely to the salvation You have offered through Your son Jesus Christ.
May she surrender to Your divine healing, letting go of all worry, fear or apprehension, trusting You completely.
May all her caregivers, relatives and friends be convicted with Your deep, abiding peace;
so that every word and thought of Debra is calm, simple, clear and resonant with Your pure love and infinite wisdom;
a balm to her soul, to their hearts, and to her precious child.
In Jesus’ holy name,
Prayers for Debra and her family.
support us all the day long of this troubled life,
until the shadows lengthen and the evening comes and the busy world is hushed,
the fever of life is over and our work is done.
Then, Lord, in your mercy,
grant us a safe lodging,
and a holy rest,
and peace at the last,
through Jesus Christ our Lord,
