Liberals Slam Republics over Prosecuting 'Honorable' Edwards, Celebrate Not Guilty Ruling

John Edwards is an awful human being who cheated on his cancer stricken wife, impregnating his mistress and lying to the people of the United States...

Out of this miscarriage of justice, as expected, the Left is riding their high horse in order to shield a terrible person and slam conservatives. It would almost be shocking if it wasn't so disgusting.

...Over at the Huffington Post, it's the Republicans who are dirty, not the adulterer:

And don't forget, Edwards 'only' cheated on his dying wife! What about Buuuuuush?!

...And finally, hey, Edwards is just a straight-up good guy:

And those were the idiots who were on the jury. Put an R next to Edwards name and he’s the scum of the earth, but since he’s a Dem he’s wonderful, even though he cheated on his DYING wife and his womanizing could have used as blackmail if he had actually became President. Hey maybe the Dems want to run Edwards for 2012..a cat would win in a landslide over that scumbucket

Remember the old saying, "The law often allows that which honor forbids."

John Turdsucker Edwards has not an iota of honor in him.

Taking money innocent people donated to a political campaign and diverting it to support and conceal a mistress and illegitimate child is really a form of theft.

John Edwards did not unseat Jesse Helms. He unseated Lauch Faircloth. It’s scary to read comments from those who don’t even try to get their facts correct.

Lets be honest about this . Edwards wasn’t charged with cheating on his dying wife, there is no law against that.

He was charged with Campaign fund illegalities.

Lets be honest again, when it come to campaign illegalities, Edwards can’t hold the light for Obama to run by.

Why hasn’t anyone looked into Obama’s Campaign illegalities of the past and even now?

Well, Why say it. We all know, and it will just get me in trouble again.

Politics are religion to these leftists.

Everything else - personal principles, loyalties, morals - everything - is subordinate to their politics.

Its the only way to understand their contradictions and hypocrisies. Its why a leftwing politician is incapable of earning the average leftist's censure, no matter what kind of bottom feeder they are or what they are guilty of.

So some idiot somewhere can find another idiot somewhere else willing to go online and defend John Edwards?

Isn't that kind of a "dog bites man" thing? There is always some idiot somewhere who will defend the most reprehensible people.

If you find some jerk in a baseball or tractor hat who's willing to go out on a limb with some stupid opinion it's not news and not a sign of anything more than that there are stupid people in the world.

There may be people of greater power or reputation who defend Edwards. Deal with them as you like. But give the Idiot of the Day parade a rest.

Posters at the Huffington Post are generally mentally ill. The moderators allow only a small fraction of the posts to be sane posts.

Liberals, queers and Democratic politicians are insane!

I thought it was the DOJ that brought the case. You mean he was charged and prosecuted by the Republican party? News to me.

As an NC native who was sick of John Edwards before most of the country even knew who he was, I have to disagree that Bunny Mellon and Fred Baron were innocent. They knew exactly what their donations were being used for!

Good for them. I suggest they put his ass right on every ticket NC has to offer. They won’t, because he is completely done. The left has a brain disorder, but even they have kicked his ass to the curb. Go ahead and Run Johnboy you weird ass moonbats.

My question is.....if it was a gift as Edwards says did he pay the taxes on the money. If not...let the IRS begin!

The biggest relief that the trial is over for those of us who live here is that damn satellite trucks will go home and the closed lane in front of the courthouse will open back up.

Most of the folks in my office are conservative and the only comments spoken when the mistrial news arrived was “The bastard skates again!”

Anybody who interrupts the daily air travel of thousands of Americans, to have a haircut, while seated on a plane, in line for takeoff, is NOT honorable! THAT smacks of a regal mindset, which is NOT American!

The verdict was bad news for Hillary.

She probably expected clear sailing to have the Democratic nomination in 2016. Now she has to worry about John Edwards running.

His sleaziness is probably less than hers but it's easier to understand (having an affair vs. borrowing FBI files for dirt on Republicans or accepting a $99,000 bribe [the cattle futures scandal]). Seeming to be more sleazy should give Edwards a distinct advantage in the Democratic primaries. Not to mention that Hillary will be almost 70 by then.

Bill Clinton delayed a bunch of flights while he got a haircut. Edwards is famous for his $400 haircuts—but did he ever cause flight delays for them? Not saying he didn’t but I don’t recall any cases.

I can’t see any rational reason why HRC should seek anything but $150K speaking engagements. Seriously. Why? Who needs the hassle? I realize the ego thing and all that but who’d want to take this morass of a world situation on for the proceeds of three speeches a year? And it could be the same speech every time, who’d care?

The Clintons have more money than they know what to do with already.

Hillary wants to be in charge, to control. When she considers the other people who might run for the Democratic nomination in 2016, she must think it is a weak field. Who's going to run? Eric Holder? Kathleen Sebelius? Nancy Pelosi? Deval Patrick? Christine Gregoire? Some other governor? Joe Biden? RFK Jr.? Chuck Schumer? Michelle Obama? Hardly anyone is well-known and credible.

Well, you make a certain point which I will completely acknowledge, that Hillary could quite possibly clean whomever’s clock if she DID run. Does she want the power more than the tens of millions she has and is certain to rake in over the coming years no matter what she does? None of us knows. I’m a lazy SOB, so for me, I’d bag it, take my tens of millions, and say sayonara. For her? Nobody can say, really. But I will tell you this, strictly from the massive egotism angle. A year and a half of hard campaigning and she will look like a dried turd. I don’t know if she’s ready for that.
