Sid was one of the original Motown guys(he helped run the New York office), before he moved to Chi-town. He was in a band called “Rotary Connection” with Minnie Riperton in Chicago in the late ‘60’s. He knew Chaka’s family, and her as a young girl. Sid helped to groom her and introduced her to people to get her going. On a side note, Sidney’s best friend is George Clinton, of P-Funk fame, and they still collaborate today. Interesting guy...
