Im in the market for a new AR15 and ran across the piston driven ARs at the store. Appreciate the comment, I need to learn more about them. Take a good hard look at the Ruger SR-556 with the gas piston setup. Not my choice, but I've worked on M16s since 1967 and complete teardown of the weapon is no problem for me. And if I get a 5th AR platform, it might well be a Ruger...or another one I build myself.

My husbands affinity for his reproduction Civil War era Gatling gun doesnt seem so weird when I read things like this. You really ought to get him a new one as a birthday or anniversary present.

If you're interested in the AR-15 platform, I strongly suggest you do some research.

Where would you rate
this? I'd think it'd be good in a mob-type situation, given the 50rd mag.
