Skip to comments.Has Homosexuality Become the New Normal?

One neednt have had gaydar to know that Anderson Cooper was homosexual. Thats why the significance of the CNN anchors declaration yesterday Im gay always have been, always will be is not that he made it, but that he felt so empowered to do so.
In an email to Andrew Sullivan, a fellow homosexual who authors a blog for the Daily Beast, Cooper explained that he was reminded recently that while as a society we are moving toward greater inclusion and equality for all people, the tide of history only advances when people make themselves fully visible.
Thats the gay strategy to make themselves fully visible. As Sullivan wrote on his blog, The visibility of gay people is one of the core means for our equality.
Thats why gay rights activists so often state that every one of us knows someone or another who is gay.
The implication is that homosexuals constitute a sizable minority; that they deserve to be full integrated into every area of society, from the military to the Boy Scouts; that they deserve to be accorded the very same rights as heterosexuals, from marriage to adoption of children.
But homosexuals are not nearly as sizable a minority as the unsuspecting American public has been misled to believe.
Sure, most of us know someone or another who is gay. But most of us also know someone or another who is Asian.
Asians constitute a mere 5 percent of the U.S. population, which most of us would not consider sizeable. And the homosexual population is not even half that of the Asian population.
Thats not the disinformation of one of the pastors calling for the death of gay people, as Sullivan decried, but the fact-based conclusion of Garance Franke-Ruta, a senior editor at The Atlantic magazine.
In an article published this past spring, Franke-Ruta, who is no conservative, no evangelical Christian, pointed to an April 2011 study by the Williams Institute, a gay and lesbian think tank at UCLA, which calculated that only 1.7 percent of Americans between 18 and 44 are homosexual.
Given that data, wrote Franke-Ruta, the size of the gay population has been massively overestimated by members of the American public. She points to a Gallup poll last year in which those surveyed figured that gays and lesbians made up more than 25 percent of theU.S.population.
That so many Americans mistakenly believe that the homosexual population is 15 times larger than it actually is shows how successful gay rights activists have been in portraying their constituency as a sizable minority.
And they have managed to do so because of their prominence in such highly visible professions as media, entertainment and politics.
Indeed, Coopers acknowledgement yesterday that he is gay and proud was preceded several months ago by a similar announcement by fellow CNN anchor Don Lemon. And it will surprise hardly anyone when and if a former CNN anchor, currently working for a rival network, follows the lead of Lemon and Cooper.
Meanwhile, a recent issue of Entertainment Weekly featured a cover story on The New Art of Coming Out. It celebrates the new casual methods celebrities are using to reveal their sexuality publicly for the first time.
That includes such Hollywood gays as Jim Parsons, a cast member on CBS The Big Bang Theory, Zachary Quinto, who appeared on NBCs Heroes, before moving on to such movies as Star Trek, Matt Bomer, star of USA Networks White Collar, Jesse Tyler, of ABCs Modern Family and Jane Lynch, of FOXs Glee.
Then theres the political world, where homosexuality is no longer the liability with voters it once was. Indeed, the Gay and Lesbian Victory Fund, which makes campaign contributions to homosexual candidates throughout the country, says there are more than 1,000 open gay elected officials serving at some level or another in government.
And the gay community has a very special relationship with the Obama administration, which, according to the Victory Fund, has appointed more than 250 gays, lesbians, bi-sexuals, and transgenders to full-time and advisor positions with the executive branch, more than all know LGBT appointments of other presidential administrations combined.
The success of homosexuals in infiltrating the media, Hollywood and politics explains why so many Americans have been duped into believing that every fourth person is gay or lesbian or (other).
It also explains how the tiny minority has managed to advance its ungodly agenda, over the objection of the majority of Americans who continue to believe that homosexuality is a sin.

Batter up: Still choking on the bat...and aiming for the Butt Cheeks....
Sorry Anderson Cooper...gay is not normal..Why, oh why is someone’s sexual preference now an affirmative action item?
It seems more and more everyday...heterosexuality is something we can only talk about behind closed doors! Everywhere in the media...being gay is the norm. For the life of me...I can not figure out how 2 people of the same gender can copulate and populate.
“Cough”....”laugh”...spit coffee on screen....ha ha ha ha....ha ha ha
If that was Navy Coffee you just spit up, you're gonna need a new screen ...
Followed by Why is this headline news? along with Who decides what "the news" will be?
Who decides/controls the national narrative and where do I send my resume? That is the job for me!
For the record: I am NOT gay. I am a happy and cheerful, natural born non-practicing (I don't have to practice, I know what I'm doing) heterosexual male.
Once upon a time, in a reality far, far away, this was normal.
The reason that much of the public thinks there are far more homosexuals than there actually are is that so many homos gravitate to the entertainment industry and its close cousin the news and information industry. They have a vested goal in making people believe their numbers are much larger than they actually are. How many people believed the oft-touted canard that homos make up 10% of the population when the actual percentage is only about 2 or 3 percent?
I agree that the agenda perhaps began with some “born that way” , it is definitely a recruitment agenda now. And yes, the ranks are indeed growing . Read or watch Dan Savage sometime to see this at work. Stealthy but steady as she goes.
You wrote: “I agree that the agenda perhaps began with some born that way, it is definitely a recruitment agenda now.”
I have been reluctant to enter into the fray of the debate with regard to the “homo” issue because I have a niece and a sister-in-law who are “that way.”
The sister-in-law (my wife’s sister) is “bipolar” and doesn’t actually know what the hell she is or what she is doing. Added to that the American Psychological Association petitioned Congress to have homosexuality removed for the Manual of Diagnosis Mental Disorders back in the ‘70”s. It was then described as a mental illness.
As for my niece, my younger sister’s 24 year old: nice kid, funny as hell, great sense of humor, and I’m sad for her and her “chosen” lifestyle.
I have never made mentioned of my disdain for the lifestyle to my sister-in-law or my sister and niece. I have let sleeping dogs lie.
BUT IF THEY SHOULD ASK, THIS WILL BE MY RESPONSE: Homosexuality is learned behavior and rebelliousness. If they want to translate “rebelliousness” as “sin” and shaky one’s fist at God, so be it.
I don’t believe in the “Born That Way” meme. It’s a bunch of bullshit. To believe that, one has to believe that one of their parents or one of their four grandparents have had to transfer that supposed homo-gene to them. Doesn’t work for me, period.
Also, if homos are never have sex with those of the opposite sex then how can the genetic inscription for homos be transferred?
Very difficult with one’s own family members, and letting sleeping dogs lie is sometimes the best refuge - I doubt they are going to be receptive to your going against the meme. They have been told the opposite, and you may open yourself up to attacks while at the same time doing no real good, except appearing (to their thinking) to be a bigot. in any case, It is not so much individuals such as your niece and Sister-in-law but the greater agenda - imposing itself politically and culturally - which needs to be countered.

I think that now that Obama has been outed as homosexual by Newsweek, this is all old news.
Sodomy is gravely sinful, no matter who engages in it. Pray for those suffering from, and indulging in, same sex attraction. But do not accept the behavior. Sin is sin. Sometimes, people will tell themselves all manner of strangeness to avoid facing what they do, and changing it.
Actually, I am getting the feeling the “gay” tide is cresting. More and more I see people standing up (on Facebook and other places) and debating these people who try to homo-i-fy everything, particularly when it comes to religion. I think the people are finally starting to wake up to the fact that butt-piracy is a menace that will affect us all at some point if we don’t stand up and resist.
I stopped watching “Four Weddings” when they featured a lesbian couple getting married. There is NOTHING normal about homosexuality. They are perverts!
“Oh well, once again, Im out of fashion, not kewl and out of the in crowd. Thanks, but no thanks. Ill follow what the Bible says and the laws of nature prove.”
I think that now that Obama has been outed as homosexual by Newsweek, this is all old news.
I’ve been off FR for the past couple of weeks due to surgery.
When did this happen? How in depth was the article? (Pardon the pun.)
Did the MSM and our Fag-In-Chief ignore it?
Did Rush and Hannity say it anything about it? Like they would. /S
