A new Gallup poll shows that 11% of Americans think Obama is a Muslim, and the leftist media just can't figure out why anyone would get that idea. Slate concluded that it must be because of "his exotic name and background, the color of his skin, or (most likely) some combination of the two." But in reality, the reason why people think Obama is a Muslim is because of how he acts.

Why do people believe that Barack Obama is a Muslim? Here's why: after the Muslim Brotherhood won the Egyptian presidency, the military moved to curb the president's powers in order to stave off sharia rule in Egypt. But then Obama warned the military that they better hand over power quickly, or Egypt would lose billions in U.S. aid.

It wasn't enough that Obama invited the Muslim Brotherhood to his submission speech in Cairo in June 2009, despite the fact that the group was banned at that time for obvious reasons: they wanted to install a sharia government, and the draconian, barbaric code of sharia, in Egypt. It wasn't enough that after he invited the Brotherhood to his speech; he had officials in his administration meeting with this Islamic supremacist group. It wasn't enough that he abandoned the true freedom movement, when the women of Iran and Persians and Zoroastrians rose up after 30 years of oppressive sharia rule. Obama spit on them and left them to die. They met bullets with bare flesh and broken bricks.

When he thanked McCain on national television for not attacking him for "my muslim faith," that pretty well sealed it for me. Heck, the number could even be higher than 40% by now - not only are most not as honest as the 11%, a percentage of people will even lie in anonymous polls because they’re so afraid of being politically incorrect!

Because he was raised in an Islamic culture at an impressionable age.
Because his foreign policy has tremendously advanced Islamic domination of multiple countries (Egypt, Libya, etc).
Because he holds an anti-Israel stance, right down to refusing to dine with its leaders and representatives.
Because he adheres to Islamic holidays (not seen eating during daylight during Ramadan, asks for vegitarian menu in a Brazilian steakhouse on an Islamic no-meat day, etc).
Because his adherence to Christian holidays is minimal and secular at best.

Agree he is probably an atheist. Rev Wright’s “church” he famously attended in Chicago was little more than a cover for Black Marxist theology. Keep in mind that it’s a Gallup poll. I think they only poll adult Democrats. I haven’t seen a Gallup poll that was believable in years.

Let’s see... Father a Muslim; Step-father a Muslim; religion listed as Islam in elementary school in Indonesia; first college attended in US he had Muslim roomate and they both traveled to Pakistan on their own passports at a time when the US State Dept. was telling US citizens NOT to travel there; in recent years he has bowed to Muslim and other leaders, pandered to them through his oratory and supported radical Muslim government takeovers in the Mid-East.
