How Many Independence Days Does America Have Left?

How many Independence Days does America have left to celebrate? That appears to be up to us.

I’m reposting these thoughts, originally marking Independence Day, 2009 because the concerns I noted then have not only not been addressed, they grow more egregious with each passing week. Consider this a call to arms. All boots on the ground my fellow Americans, evening is closing in on us fast:

Yep. But before we win it back, we first have to convince Americans that they want freedom...and the responsibility that accompanies it. You can’t have one without the other.

Sadly, even if Romney wins, the Republicans don’t have a clue how to do more than merely manage the decline a bit differently than the Democrats.

We have non left. Today is the inaugeral Dependence day... Sadly many are still ignorant to our plight and they will blindly celebrate July 4th throughout the day.

Congress can control the SCOTUS, if it has the will. The bolded part at the end is perhaps the least appreciated sentence in the entire Constitution.

U.S. Constitution, Article 3 Section 2:

The judicial Power shall extend to all Cases, in Law and Equity, arising under this Constitution, the Laws of the United States, and Treaties made, or which shall be made, under their Authority;--to all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls;--to all Cases of admiralty and maritime Jurisdiction;--to Controversies to which the United States shall be a Party;--to Controversies between two or more States;-- between a State and Citizens of another State,--between Citizens of different States,--between Citizens of the same State claiming Lands under Grants of different States, and between a State, or the Citizens thereof, and foreign States, Citizens or Subjects.

In all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, and those in which a State shall be Party, the supreme Court shall have original Jurisdiction. In all the other Cases before mentioned, the supreme Court shall have appellate Jurisdiction, both as to Law and Fact, with such Exceptions, and under such Regulations as the Congress shall make.

Enough Tea Party Patriots could lead a new Congress, and put the SCOTUS back into its box. The USA was never intended to become a tyranny of five judges. It's in the Constitution: The Congress is superior to the SCOTUS. There are NOT "three co-equal branches" as most believe.

Let’s see, the mention of the Constitution (C) is almost offensive now. We have a dictator who with the media has convinced blacks, black pastors and a whole lot of white pastors that since Obama is in power, that God put him there and whereby that means anything he does is ordained. This means, state mandated redistribution is of God and thus, Social Justice isn’t communist, it’s God’s way. Thus, we now have a huge sect of Christians who are made to feel better by suscribing to the doctrine that since the C was written by slaveholders, that they don’t have to read it and they can just hate it and be done with it...and we’re not citizens of the US anymore (well, we are, and as Christians, yes, I believe citizenry of heaven trumps that of the US, but hating the US isn’t a requirement nor should it be okay to do), just that of heaven and it’s now fashionable to simply hate the US. Lord have mercy, this is the frustrating world in which I live...I walk this in my church, I see it on the news, I see my “conservative” leaders stabbing me in the back (Romney on the ceasefire on healthcare, McConnell being a wimp, NO ONE SHOUTING FROM THE ROOFTOPS on our side, not even Col West...UGH!!!

Pray, pray hard, pray expectantly, pray again, repeat, rinse, pray some more, and send Romney a check...pray for the house, pray for the senate, pray for the presidency...and, even, pray for a Paul like miracle in Obama (but still pray he is gone).

There, I feel a little better.
Anyone, I welcome feedback and comment and I just need to feel human again.

If Obozo gets re-elected, I’d say zero after today. If Romney gets elected, we maybe have a couple after today.

Those two will just be for pretense.

The challenge to all of us:

We must all be Patrick Henry, now that our country needs us most. The Founding Fathers risked their wealth, their families and even their lives to gain our freedom. Can we do less? WILL we do less?
