Dick Morris: Obama to Sign UN Gun-Grab Treaty and RAM IT DOWN OUR THROATS

But the Senate will never ratify, you say?

Guess what, they don't need to...

Speaking on Fox and Friends this morning, Dick Morris explained that when the US signs such an international treaty, the nation is bound until the Senate rejects it or the President renounces it. In just nine days from now, the terms of this treaty will be finalized.

Morris went on to say that this heinous agreement -which would in-affect repeal the the Second Amendment and deny us all of the divine right to self-defense- will likely be signed by Obama... then Harry Reid will simply never bring it up for a vote, keeping the ATT treaty in-effect.

Then, if Dear Leader actually manages to win a second term and continues with his ongoing date-rape of this country, he will of course never renounce it, either... meaning we're stuck with it for a minimum of 4.5 years, in which time they'd be able to assault your Second Amendment gun rights relentlessly... a fait acompli

What to do?

Sign this White House petition, which can be loosely translated as "From My Cold, Dead Hands!"... -here-

While I would spit on anyone who wants to take away my right to own a gun (I have not excercised that right yet), if I want a gun and the govt has enacted laws to prohibit me from legally obtaining one to protect my family ... like any criminal out there ... if I want a gun ... I can get one. And perhaps this is the better way to get one as the govt will have no knowledge that I possess it if I bought it from a crook.

Just musings ... maybe I will go fill out the MD handgun application at lunchtime.

There is a Constitutional process that has to be followed

It would probably be the first Constitutional process Obama would have followed. Knowing that the man sacrificed hundreds of Mexican lives south of the border and who knows how many American lives were lost solely to manipulate public opinion against the 2nd Amendment, something tells me this issue may not be when Obama miraculously decides to follow a Constitutional process.

King_Corey: " Y’all don’t want to play this game in Texas and much of the South and West. It will be a hell of a fight,"

I wish it were so. The Feds will isolate and eliminate.

We've already proved that us Texans will not run to the sound of the guns if the Fed propagandists simply label the "rebels" as child rapists. And the CIA has been honing those skills for a decade in the middle east.

I wish we could all be like Texas. That’s why I love Texas so much!

“If Carpet Bombing is now what a No Fly Zone is I would hate to see what a No Weapons Zone would look like with Chinese and Russian planes flying above under the UN flag.”

Long before we get to that point, there would be a military coup.

“I smell a revolution”

You too eh. I’ll go out on a limb, and say November for that revolution.

I second it. It will happen. People will simply “hide” their guns, no doubt.

Mine is hidden right now......but very very close to me.

While I think Obama is pond scum, we’re talking about the when something becomes the supreme law of the land.

A treaty does not become law until it is ratified by the US Senate.

Until then, trying to enforce it would hold up in no court in the land.

That, I believe, is why we were trying to repeal ObamaCare. We wanted it no longer to be the law.

Without being the law, it would have been unenforceable.

Jim Noble: People who take Constitutional interpretation from a toe-sucker are bound to get easily riled up. Never mind that the Constitution, and the Supreme Court say otherwise - if Dick Morris says it, that's good enough for me /s.

True as far as it goes.

But they don't need to erase the Bill of Rights to reach out to you.

Technically, you will still have your RKBA, in your home, subject to a tax (not a penalty.)

Oh and, your name is on an International Travel list for additional "reasonable" scrutiny (3 hrs detention each way) if you want to go on vacation.

Of course, if you want to stay at home, no problem. But if you want access to international internet links (international includes anything that goes via satellite), you'll have to pay a gun safety advocacy tax, and your posts will have to be approved in Brussels.

Do you want a product with an Intel processor? Sorry, they're an international business, and they also have to abide by the California legislature's extra-constitutional embrace of this treaty. So you have to be approved for purchase of that product.

Bureaucracies move slowly, except when they're expanding. So some of this could easily happen by 2016.

But don't worry. Your legal team that you pay for in BernankeBills can still file a complaint in Federal Court on your behalf and cite "Reid v. Covert" with grand rhetorical flourishes!

Yeah. They have no technical authority. But they do have POWER, RESOURCES and TIME.

In that case they kinda were. That is why they were able to get away with it.

After touching a hot stove, most learn from that experience. After seeing someone touch a hot stove, others learn not to do the same. The Branch Dividian incident happened in 1992? Twenty years is a long time. Social media reporting didn’t really exist. They might have a harder time controlling the story.

We can learn from the flash mobs. But we are dependent on state controlled communication that can be flicked off at a moments notice.

I have no clue how Americans will react. I have no clue if the county sheriffs, local police, national guard would obey if a out of control president gave them questionable orders.

All the things you mention are potential risks. And they would have been more concerning if they had happened before the government ran out of OPM.

They are a toothless tiger now, though it doesn’t mean they will not cause at least SOME pain.

You might first consider moving to a state where the very idea of having to full out a state application to simply own a weapon is absurd and unthinkable.

Obama is like if you let some acquaintance stay at your house a while and then he not only steals your cash, food, and guns but won’t leave... then threatens to burn it down if you dare ask him to

Only 9 signers on the petition link - goes to a WH webpage. Can’t sign without a WH account! What the dickens is going on?

There are plenty of other petitions out there without messing with that one. There’s one on Dick Morris’s website and Rand Paul has been circulating one also as well as other organizations.

The Senate MUST RATIFY a treat before it becomes law, Dick.
