It appears that some people have an issue with this tongue-in-cheek post from yesterday.

Colorado killer, James Holmes, ties to academia A young man who recently dropped out of the University of Colorado is the deranged killer of a dozen people in a movie theater in Colorado early this morning.

It is unclear at this point if he was motivated by President Obama's campaign rhetoric to hit back twice as hard, the poisonous atmosphere of ideological Leftism that influences university students, was a member of the Occupy movement or if he simply didn't like another Batman movie. One thing we know for sure, despite the desire of George Stephanopolis and Brain Ross of ABC News to blame the Tea Party, the killer, James Holmes, was not a member of that broad middle class movement. Instead, he seems to have been a perpetual student and part of ABC's audience.

So I looked at it and I am amazed to find that it meets pretty much all the standards of a professional journalist.

What is there to disagree with? Let's analyze it:

James Holmes is a killer …. in Colorado. Check.

Age 24 makes him a young man. Check.

He has ties to academia? It’s a safe bet that he’s been going to one school or another since he was 6 years old and the University of Colorado confirmed his status. Many, many news stories tie a person’s identity to their occupation, their hobbies or avocation, something I’m doing here. Check.

Was he deranged? Too early to tell, so I may have to offer a retraction (a la Brian Ross) on this one.

Like other members of the media, it’s almost incumbent upon us to speculate on his motivation. But instead of choosing the usual MSM talking points I chose my own. Note how Sarah Palin was accused of motivating the murderer who shot Gabrielle Giffords and 18 others in Tucson. Using the exact same lack of evidence I have every right to speculate that the eliminationist rhetoric of Obama, the pervasive Leftist indoctrination of academia, the often violent Occupy movement or the movie itself motivated Holmes. It’s waaaay too late to take the Palin smear back. The aggressor sets the rules in combat and these are the rules that apply. Check.

Despite the efforts of ABC to smear the Tea Party and tie them to this murderer, we know it’s not true. We KNOW that because the Holmes they tagged as a Tea party member is not the killer. Check.

It appears that in the 24 years of his life he’s always been a student so we can call him a perpetual student. Check.

And finally, we have a high degree of confidence that anyone who has ever watched TV in their lives has viewed programs on the ABC network. Check.

So far I would classify my analysis as having much more basis in fact than the proven lies disseminated by ABC and Brian Ross.

You’re welcome.

Bass Pro Shops confirms it sold two guns to James Holmes, the suspect in the Colorado theater shootings.

“Based on the records we have reviewed, personnel in our Denver store correctly and fully followed all Federal requirements with respect to the sale of one shotgun and one handgun to the individual identified in this incident. Background checks, as required by Federal law, were properly conducted, and he was approved,” said a statement from Larry Whiteley, manager of Bass Pro Shops communications.

James Holmes, the suspect in the Colorado theater shootings, purchased the guns used himself at Bass Pro Shops and Gander Mountain Guns, a law enforcement source tells CNN’s Susan Candiotti. The source said he bought the guns in May, June and July of this year.

The suspect purchased 6,000 rounds of ammo over the Internet, Police Chief Dan Oates said.

Chad Weinman, CEO of TacticalGear.com of Chesterfield, Missouri, told CNN that he believed his firm sold items to shooting suspect James Holmes.

The company checked its records after employees heard about the shooting and found a receipt matching Holmes’ name and his Aurora, Colorado, address, Weinman said.

The receipt showed that Holmes bought an $106.99 Blackhawk urban assault vest, a $52.99 Blackhawk Omega Elite triple pistol magazine, a $52.99 Blackhawk Omega Elite M16 magazine pouch, and a $77.99 Blackhawk Be-Wharned silver knife.

With shipping costs, the total bill came to $306.99, according to a copy of the receipt provided to CNN

Maybe where you live but in North Carolina letters go out to ALL area treatment centers. Took me nearly three months to get my license. Had to wait for all the letters to come back to the Sheriff’s Dept.

Several vital memes that should be started.

1) How long and what kind of relationship did the *alleged* shooter have with The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence and the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence, and Mayor Michael Rubens Bloomberg of New York City? How often had he met with Mayor Bloomberg prior to the shooting?

2) How long has the *alleged* shooter been involved in the campaign to re-elect president Obama, and how long has he been associated with Attorney General Holder and the BATF?

3) Which of the guns used by the *alleged* shooter had previously been involved in the “Fast and Furious” scandal, were believed to have been retained as evidence in the criminal investigation, but had inexplicably been provided to gun dealers for resale?

4) What did Nancy Pelosi know, and when did she know it? Does she have any explanation of the substantial funds transfer from her campaign to the bank account of the *alleged* shooter, two months before the attack?

/all scurrilous and unfounded rumors, mind you. Not to be taken seriously under any account. Obviously parody, satire and sarcasm.

And how does a perpetual “student” buy all this stuff without his friends (assuming he has any) and relatives taking notice?

My guess is free money from college loans or Pell Grants. He may have decided to go off the deep end and took his fall tuition loan money and go on a spending spree. Also there are reports of unemployement payments....my guess is he was living off borrowed and given money.

Damn. I didn’t know it was that thorough. Maybe it’s different in Colorado, or maybe he recieved treatment out of state and it never made it back to law enforcement.

Correct, and student employment for credit (teaching assistants etc) are not considered employment for UI, Also, above, yes...This is very suspect...I am going to wait until we have more “sanitized” information from the Lame Stream, and then what the real news hounds can get...We will know the truth, eventually...But now, on FBook and other places the anti-2nd Amendment folks are orgasmic.

Perhaps it is different in other states. I can only speak from personal experience. I had to make an appointment just to fill out the paperwork.

Unfortunately I was about five minutes late due to a traffic accident blocking my route. Even though I was the only one applying for a permit that afternoon I had to make another appointment. Two weeks later I made my appearance on time. It took all of twenty minutes to fill out the paperwork and get fingerprinted. Had to fill out permission for every mental hospital and clinic in the area to release any records they might have on me.

I think it was almost three months later when they notified me my license was ready. Good for five years but they will not notify you when it is about to expire. My CCW instructor told me I needed to start the process at least three months before the license expires. I hesitate to think what the process is if it should expire.

And the truth starts to emerge from the fog.

Thanks!
