Lt. Col West has had plenty of executive experience. I will trade you his time leading men in combat for any amount of time playing politics. Go get educated
Whoever it is, Romney had better pick carefully, as his VP choice will likely be favored to be candidate for president in 2020 (assuming Romney wins in November and then again in’16).
That was management experience, not executive experience. There was a long chain of higher ranked officers above him that he was taking orders from.
Mitt’s VP conundrum is that his best option is more interested (and at this point rightly so, I think) in setting herself up for 2016 or 2020, whichever’s the first open.
You’re telling me a military officer who spent a career leading troops and being responsible for all aspects of the training, deployment, fighting, recovery, redeployment and retraining of an entire battalion...
has..
no..
executive...
experience?
I’ll take Allen West as the immediate replacement for an incapacitated President any day of the week.
Colonel, USAFR
Command is a combination of executive and management experience and is great training for taking the lead during a crisis.
Rubio joined McCain in lambasting Bachmann for DARING to question all of the Muslim Brotherhood/Muslims in the administration........ergo Rubio is too chickenchit to stand up for what is RIGHT, and prefers to go with the crowd of RINOs, so he can KMA!
I AGREE WITH YOU. SO DISAPPOINTED IN RUBIO, I love John Bolton, but that will never happen.
Mr. RomneyCARE will GARNER NO VOTES from conservatives.
Mr. RomneyCARE should save the Nation and pull out.
Now.
And in the field not one of the so called higher ups is there to make a decision.
My statement still stands.
If all you want is experience then get a previous VP (after all they do so much more than a President does)
Bob McDonnell’s name used to be mentioned regularly among the possible VP picks, but lately he seems to be ignored. He does seem to me to be a better choice than most of those being talked about.
Maybe McDonnell’s problem is that “Romney-McDonnell” sounds too close to “Ronald McDonald.”
