Reagan-era Attorney General Edwin Meese has joined a long list of conservative heavyweights today, in support of Rep. Michele Bachmanns quest to root out Muslim Brotherhood influence on the US State Department.
The letter, signed by Meese along with David Barton, former US ambassador Kenneth Blackwell, Gary Bauer, former Rep. David McIntosh, James Dobson, Star Parker and others, is addressed to Speaker of the House John Boehner. It expresses concern over the criticism that has been levied at Bachmann and other Republican representatives in recent weeks.

Lets hope they keep up the pressure, bohner is just that a boner and mclame is a sell out. These two “across the isle, I play golf with the president, he’s a nice family man” dolts are playing for the other side. Boner needs to be replaced and mcnasty needs a good slapdown. Nice to see we are on the attack
Those rat-batard RINOS in the Senate are going to regret taking the wrong side on this one.
Imagine president Bachman identifying, exposing, rooting out, (perhaps even charging them with all manner of crimes) not only the muslims .. but the one s (no typo) that fascilitated the infiltration.
I like Michel, but she couldn't hold a candle to the likes of Gingrich and/or Santorum for presentation.
This is good news.
But there must be a misplaced comma in the text.
Kenneth Blackwell was to my knowledge not an ambassador. And who is David Barton, whose name precedes Blackwell’s? Was he an ambassador?
I’m not trying to nitpick.
This would be an opportunity for Romney to show some leadership and have a closed door meeting with these two. Time for him to slap them hard with "Regan's 11th Commandment".
OK, I googled and saw where KB was at the UN for a time? I did not know that and thought he had held a myriad of Ohio positions and conservative organizational positions, only.
My bad.
I can’t believe you don’t know who David Barton is. He’s trying to restore America’s history and the left hates him for it.

Have any other Freepers listened to Ann Barnhardt and what do you all think of her assessments?
And I realize who David Barton is, as well, now that I know the problem wasn’t a misplaced comma. The whole trouble I had is not knowing Blackwell was ever an amb. to something.
From Lynn Westmoreland (GA) re:MB —one of the few REAL men to support Michelle Bachmann. (Mark Levin gave him kudos)
snip-
“I have been meeting with fellow Members of Congress, as well as experts on the Muslim Brotherhood, for quite a while in an attempt to get a more complete understanding of the organization and its intentions within our country, and what I have learned concerns me. We need to expose the Muslim Brotherhood for what it is, and expose those Brotherhood members who may be attempting to subvert our government, in order to preserve our democratic way of life.”
This is getting more and more interesting. Some folks might have some big time egg on their faces.
Your comments are spot on!
Oh please, Romney showing leadership? Yeah sure, when pigs orbit Venus.
Ed Meese gets it.
Romney will lead the country, but you won’t like where he’ll take us.
Good move.
Absolutely embarrassing that we have people like McCain, Graham, Rubio, Boehner, Cantor, and other PhonyCon, terrorist-supporting GOP congresspeople supporting the Muslim Brotherhood.
It is quite apparent that Bachmann, Gohmert, and the other House members were correct in questioning Huma Abedin’s background.
And, I will do everything possible to primary Rubio out in 2016....and conservatives should do the same to the other Muslim Bro’hood GOP supporters
Boehner should resign. The Muslim Brotherhood clearly got to him. Every action he has taken as speaker should be investigated.
Cantor seems to be one of the good guys, but you are right about the others:

Good for Meese. I would have loved a ticket of Newt and Michelle. (Not the America-hating Michelle with the big butt who tries to tell us what to eat.)
I took the time to e-mail Boner the other day. May not matter, but I feel better. Ridicule and shame was my method of persuasion.
I am happy to see some heavyweights jumping on board. This is way past due.
You know; the more I pay attention to John Boehner the more I believe that he is a RINO. I believe that we can do much better without him as speaker.
Glad to hear this.
Ditto to that. Our side has to learn to fight, not get along.
Your’re right. Blackwell was Ohio Secretary of State and ran unsuccessfully for Governor in 2006. He is a former Mayor of Cincinnati. Good man. African-American
OK. I just read the letter. Here is direct link:

Blackwell was some Ambassador to some dohickey (stated in letter).
Barton is Glenn Beck’s buddy.

Scroll down for English and pay attention to pages 3 (for author) and 7.

I didn’t care for him from the start. However,I’m starting to wonder if he’s worse than a rino. As in a flatout trader.
You’re from Texas and don’t know who David Barton is? Surely you jest! That’s like like a Californian who never heard of Ronald Reagan. David Barton is merely one of the top authorities on the Founding History of our Country, if not THE top authority....and I mean the TRUE and FACTUAL Founding History and not some fictional PC make-believe drivel!
Doesn’t Barton maintain a huge library of original text founding documents?
True. And he has SO MANY true stories of the glories of our Founding. For instance, most people have only known of the type of racial relations we’ve suffered with since the Democrats had their Jim Crow Laws, post Civil War.
How many have any inkling that a very early Speaker of the House of Representatives, I think it was the second Speaker in our history, was a black man.....and held in very high regard? That’s just one of the wonderful and startling nuggets from our Founding that David Barton shared.
And BTW, that library and museum is in Aledo, TX.
Thanks for the response. The information he has is enlightening indeed. I just learned of him a few weeks ago. I’d be worried about all that material, what a massive responsibility!
