CHICK-FIL-A ISSUES STATEMENT TO DAVID WEBB SHOW
DavidWebb Show ^ | 27 July 2012 | Jerry Johnston, Corporate Public Relations

Posted on 07/28/2012 11:21:23 AM PDT by COBOL2Java

Thank you for your interest in Chick-fil-A and Dan Cathy, however we are not scheduling interviews for Mr. Cathy at this time. I would like to provide this statement, and I hope this will be a useful resource for you.

Jerry Johnston
Corporate Public Relations

Statement:

Chick-fil-A is a family-owned and family-led company serving the communities in which it operates. From the day Truett Cathy started the company, he began applying biblically-based principles to managing his business. For example, we believe that closing on Sundays, operating debt-free and devoting a percentage of our profits back to our communities are what make us a stronger company and Chick-fil-A family.

The Chick-fil-A culture and service tradition in our restaurants is to treat every person with honor, dignity and respect –regardless of their belief, race, creed, sexual orientation or gender. We will continue this tradition in the over 1,600 Restaurants run by independent Owner/Operators. Going forward, our intent is to leave the policy debate over same-sex marriage to the government and political arena.

Our mission is simple: to serve great food, provide genuine hospitality and have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A.

There's not a C-F-A close, but if I get near, I plan on buying a sack of something, then marking it in rather large letters "IN SUPPORT OF CHICK-FIL-A" and leaving it in a conspicuous position on the counter for all to see.

Think of a better plan chiller. According to others they keep the place immaculate. Your bag will be in the trash faster than Rosie on a doughnut.

CFA has great milkshakes. Also you could get a salad, soup, or nuggets. Everything tastes great.

I’ve been watching their Facebook page. Every once in a while the Homosexual lobby posts some hateful things.

I think he should invite communities who would welcome business like his and the jobs he has to offer to let him know and he will have his pick of places to go where the people will support him. He doesn’t need to serve areas where he isn’t appreciated. I wish we had one around here - I’d support them with my lunch money even though I don’t usually eat chicken out, just to support their right to free speech. This could be the best thing that ever happened to his business. When traveling, I will always go to Chick-Fil-A now because of this.

Their milkshakes are like crack cocaine, once you start having them, you just want more and more. Had a chocolate shake with my spicy chicken sandwich for lunch today.

And it will be in the trash before you can count to 3. I've never seen more immaculate restaurants that CFA.

And their customer service is incredible. I walk with a cane, and when I went in for take out the other day, the girl behind the counter was just standing there, holding my bag. I asked if that was my order, and she said yes, she was just waiting for me to start out and carry my order to my car! I told her that it really wasn't necessary, and I was really shocked at the offer.

I menionted in another post that I went there for the first time the other day, and when I mentioned the fact to the franshise owner, he stepped around the counter, pointed out and described every item on the menu, taking the time I never would have expected. When I went back to the counter to place my order, as I was pulling out my cash, he told me that it would be "on him!" I've been back twice in less than a week, using my own money!

There is no chick in our area. I am going to call the one in the next state and buy the next lucky order in the cash register their meal via credit card. Maybe even twice.

He doesn’t need to serve areas where he isn’t appreciated.

That's the key here isn't it. The owners of CFA don't discriminate, do nothing that anyone could confuse with being exclusionary, and contribute greatly to the communities they serve. They don't put up barriers in their hiring, nor whom they serve.

Those that are attacking CFA and the family that runs it are opposed to the families personal beliefs. Think about that for a moment. They're not being attacked for their deeds, actions, or something they did. They're being attacked for their RELIGIOUS BELIEFS. And we see the left doing this over and over again.

The days when liberals claimed "I may disagree with what you say, but will fight for your right to say it" are long gone. Today, their motto is "I disagree with what you believe, so don't even THINK of saying it. I'm right and good, so you must be wrong and evil. Your beliefs should be outlawed, but in case I can't make your thought illegal, I will defame you with lies and fight to destroy you and anyone who thinks like you." Leftists have a long history of taking this to the next step, which results in "reeducation camps," gulags, and concentration camps.

If anyone is a Yelp member please leave a 5 star review for the Chick-Fil-A in Hollywood on Sunset Blvd. Supporting Chick-Fil-A helps by reviewing too:

That’s it!!! I’m heading out to CFA right now!!!!

Besides the incredible hottie, Anna Kooiman, mentioned that she LOVES the peach shakes, and I just saw they’re serving them, according to the local web site!

I might try that “Chargrilled & Fruit Salad.” It looks amazing. And a peach shake!

I agree. But from a business point of view, he should take the action Jesus recommended - shake the dust of the town off his feet. It will be more profitable to do business elsewhere and the towns that rejected him will be the losers for it.
