[OFFICIAL CHARGES OF DISCRIMINATION FILED BY GAY RIGHTS REPRESENTATION AGAINST CHICK FIL A - IL]

The Civil Rights Agenda, a local LGBT rights advocacy group, filed multiple complaints with the Illinois Department of Human Rights Thursday, alleging that the Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A restaurant chain’s “intolerant corporate culture” violates Illinois law and a provision in the state’s Human Rights Act.

“In our current high speed media and social media environment, Chick-fil-A has announced and caused to be published, to hundreds of millions of people, that LGBT people are unacceptable and objectionable,” said Jacob Meister, Governing Board President of TCRA and the attorney who filed the complaint. “They have made it clear the lives of LGBT individuals are unacceptable to them and that same-gender families are unwelcome at Chick-fil-A.”

The issue statement itself is a lie.

“I do not believe that it is possible for me to eat at Chick-fil-A without being discriminated against simply because I am an unmarried homosexual in a ‘non-traditional’ family unit,”

Only one way to find out, hoss.

I can’t believe a lawyer would buy this one.
I don’t believe I can get a job as a lawyer at his office so I am going to sue him for discrimination.

LGBT - so they filed that complaint. I guess they really do believe they are sodimites, homosexuals and sexual deviants? If not, why are they so upset - maybe it is because they are Anti-Christian, deny God and have no HOPE of Eternal Life. Life my homosexual (gay?) sister whom I beleive is a very unhappy militant anti-social person, most Gays are not happy and are intolerent.

LGBT is just a sign post for people who are Gratification Freaks; it can't be love, except of pervision. And to think they define their existance by whom they have sex? No other social identity, except usually the daily DNC talking points.

I'd say screw'em 'cept they might want to take me up on it....

You really think conservatives and Christians care about what you do in private. Do you feel the same way about people when you see a republican bumper sticker or hear they are conservatives/Christians? You see, if you keep the parts of your life to yourself that belong on in private then you have not controversy. Of course, if you are militant and make an issue of or otherwise draw attention to yourself then you are the base of the problem. Christians love the Sinner but not the Sin; we care not what you do except you leave us alone. Now your anti-Christian, Pro-Homosexual (you say gay) militant community has picked this very public fight. You Homosexuals are the True One Percenters (I’ll give you 1.8% and a gaggle of part time gratification freaks who pose for sex).

:: Chick-fil-A has announced and caused to be published, to hundreds of millions of people ::

So, the american press are named as defendants also? Seein-as-how they (MSM) took the story from a niche media group with limited consumers and published it to hundreds of millions of people. Right...right?

So constitutional rights are now secondary to “civil rights”.

So, according to allegation (B 6), the complainant is suing because in his opinion and according to his personal interpretation of Cathy's statement, he FEEEEEEEEEELS unwelcome at CFA.

Unfortunately, this is in IL. This suit will stand and be found in favor of the complainant.

I have always been skeptical of employer discrimination and harassment laws and their constitutionality. Now they apply to homos, err LBGTs.

Oooo thoughtcrime! No actual discrimination, just a suggestion of “hostility.” This is where it is going, folks. Hope you all have kept your powder dry!

Yes - furthermore legally all is open to vague interpretation which makes the whole thing murky and hard to pin down.

As in this part of the statement, which is clearly in the minds of the lgbts and was never said or implied:

“They have made it clear the lives of LGBT individuals are unacceptable to them and that same-gender families are unwelcome at Chick-fil-A.”

This would appear to be the gay communities’ interpretation of the “Chick-Fil-A corporate culture” - in reality, it is that they cannot bear tolerance merely, and want absolute approval, which is driving this thing. Can that be part of jurisprudence? No longer tolerance , but approval, or cries of “discrimination” and litigation will follow?

The 1st amendment protects free speech. It is legally protected. Now, if they can prove that Chick-Fil-A, via their hiring practices, was able to prevent their homosexual employees from getting married to each other, there is a case.

Let’s see how that flies.

“Either the CEO backs down, or court costs will cost him a fortune”

I suspect just last Wed. profits will more than take care of any potential legal cost.

Maybe this issue will get fast tracked to the Supreme Court where Roberts will have a chance to redeem himself (or not)

I am no lawyer but dont they have to have a specific injured party?
So do they trot out a gay who says he was scared to apply for a job there because of recent public (political) statements?

Where I live in Maryland where there have been discrimination laws protecting sexual orientation for years and I am rare here because I always saw the danger in expanding such a classification to a vague term called 'orientation'.

Last year they expanded it to trans-sexuals.

“His comments make LGBT people, a protected minority class, feel “unwelcome, objectionable or unacceptable” at Chick-fil-A restaurants, or “public accommodations” under Section 5-102(B) of the Illinois Human Rights Act, Martinez said.”

1st amendment trumps Illinois Human Rights Act. Even if you say it as the leader of your company. Every company is allowed to have values. And those values are protected by the 1st amendment as well.

It would be fun to sue an overtly homosexual local establishment for makning you feel uncomfortable because, as a heterosexual they have done to you what this complaint accuses Chick-Fil-A of.

These guys must really hate the 1st amendment.

Sorry guys/gays.
