The "Fluke" Of Feminism
Self | 9/3/12 | Me

Posted on 09/03/2012 1:56:22 PM PDT by xuberalles

Democrats are so out of touch, so delusional, they have given Sandra Fluke a prominent speaking platform at their convention. If you remember correctly, Fluke was the thirty year-old, feminist student at Georgetown who testified before Congress as a supposed victim of economic discrimination; i.e., Georgetown’s most affordable health plan – an annual $1559 policy - didn’t cover her need for “condoms” because oral contraceptives were not safe. Disregarding the fact that Miss Fluke is thirty years-old, and free condoms can routinely be found at health clinics and colleges across America, what does this say about personal responsibility, let alone common sense? And what about her supposed male suitors? Were they equally incapable of purchasing a box of condoms, abstaining until they had money, let alone procuring a part-time job; something millions of teenagers do every year? If your health is truly that important, wouldn’t any rationale human being sacrifice that Starbucks latte, one night at the bar, that Code Pink donation, in order to purchase contraception? Apparently, unlike law school, life doesn’t come with instructions.

The real tragedy of this choreographed charade is that millions of hard working, responsible Americans cannot put gas in their tanks or food on their table; even worse, they are losing their homes, their children, their very lives. Furthermore, there are countless "victims" who are suffering from real maladies - Cancer, MS, Diabetes, Alzheimers, Parkinsons, etc - who could careless about the financial rigors of a 75 cent condom.

Yet, amidst this “real” national tragedy, Democrats have the gall to put this woman front and center as a tool of demagoguery solely to cement their imaginary, “war on women”, election theme and to propagate the “irrefutable” need for Obamacare; which, by the way, is largely responsible for skyrocketing health premiums in the first place. If our so-called President and his devoted followers actually believe Sandra Fluke is representative of the current plight of this nation – chronic unemployment, massive debt, record foreclosures, inflation, a worthless currency – they have completely abandoned the American people, the American Dream, altogether.

If a political party cannot differentiate between priorities and propaganda, progressivism and patriotism, how can they be trusted to solve, let alone recognize, our most pressing issues? Sadly, though most fittingly, our confused liberal friends could have learned a lot from Utah Congressional candidate, Mia Love; a self-made woman, responsible mother, and recent RNC spokeswoman who immigrated from impoverished Haiti. Yet, guess which indelible inspiration the Democratic Party chose to honor instead? And guess which woman the unbiased media will relentlessly promote as the voice of this new generation of victimized women? Well, because silence often speaks far more than minced words, I’m going to my hometown health clinic here in rural America. There will be no cameras, sensational headlines, or Greek columns to announce the grandeur of my presence or my cause. Therefore, in the anecdotes of altruism, the pages that bind the guiding principles of our lives, I leave Sandra Fluke with this final footnote: instructions are on the way!

To democrats - the “war on women” means the government should pay for birth control and abortions.

I hope they run with this issue. I hope they do.

As do I. It will show how painfully “out of touch” they are with America.

If this idiot is not capable of handling her life and needs a condom to protect herself because she is afraid that the idiot she is sleeping with is not healthy or an idiot she can call me.

I will give her a couple of quarters so she can go down to the service station and buy a fancy condom. God, i would not want any of her offspring in this world.

See, it won’t cost the government (taxpayer) anything. We really don’t need any of these idiots to reproduce.

Rush is right, she is a whore.

Blessings, bobo

Please, stop spreading the falsehood that she testified before congress. She testified before a house oversight committee.
I’m tired of the adulation afforded this little nobody.
Another orchestrated moment by the Obama administration.
We will have to look at this woman for the next 30 yrs as she glides into prominence in the Democrat party.

Your splitting hairs..the oversight committee is still composed of members of Congress. The main point, and I agree, is that her fabricated importance is ridiculous and insulting to say the least.

It is so amazing that after decades of the “if it feels good do it” movement shouting about keeping government out of the bedroom they want us to pay for everything which goes on or comes out of that same bedroom.

AIDS, abortions, contraceptives, and if all those “failed” pay for their kids they did not want.

We have to get some wordsmiths on the right to counter these dregs of society.

it is a pathetic state of affairs when a non-entity like Sandra Fluke is chosen to deliver a seminal speech at THE convention of a “major” political party. She will NOT go over well with any of the “undecideds”, but will instead come across as a classic special-interest whiner, bitching and moaning over what she and her compatriots think they’re “owed” by society at large. I hope she receives the ridicule she so richly deserves.

I think you’ve hit on something!’
A PUBLIC campaign where we could all chip in a few cents each to provide Sandra with a lifetime supply of condoms she could hand over to all her boyfriends would highlight the absurdity of her demands, and better than that, make the Party she speaks for look like the A-holes they are.
I think we should do it! As good, caring Republicans!

Fluke is a vicious evil social parasite. She intentionally enrolled in a Catholic school for the specific purpose of desecrating and destroying their moral principles.

This thirtysomething-year-old giant Code Pink walking vagina has an ugly lesbian looking demeanor. She will never hold an honest job or function any useful capacity in society. She’s a professional Democratic Party lamprey, sucking the life out of useful and functioning real human beings.

All in all, I can’t think of a more perfect speaker at the Democratic national convention. She’s the perfect epitome of this corrupt, evil criminal organization.

Enforced by the brute force of government.

For that she deserves to burn in the hottest pits of Hell for all of eternity.

Note to Fluke defenders out there: "Don't you now wish I'd just let it go with 'slut', like Rush did?".

As pointed out above, Fluke never testified before Congress (she was rightfully denied as a witness by the Republicans under the 72-hour rule for naming witnesses; the Democrats tried to slip her in at 4:45 p.m. the evening before the actual hearing.

However, what you remember 'correctly' has nothing whatsoever to do with what Fluke said. Fluke began her statement by saying she was speaking for other woman and not herself. She then told the specific (and in most cases, ridiculous) stories of six other women. Fluke never said a word about her sex life, whether she used contraceptives, or the cost of her contraceptives, or the cost or number of condoms that anybody used. If you think she did, then you should read a transcript of her statement.
