Dems REALLY screw up: The BIG speech..Clinton's...will be on opposite NFL opener
one man's opinion...

Posted on 09/05/2012 10:50:36 AM PDT by ken5050

Just realized that I haven't seen this mentioned anywheres, which in and of itself is curious. Months ago, the NFL announced that it was moving its annual kickoff extravaganza from Thursday to Wednesday, in order NOT to detract from Obama's big acceptance speech...

Well, well, how times have changed....

Obama was to have spoken outdoors, replicating his 2008 acceptance speech, to a crammed stadium of 76,000 adoring supporters. This was to have set the stage for the all-but-inevitable election triumph.

Well, they can't fill the stadium, so they've used the threat of bad weather as an excuse to move it indoors.

But as Obama's poll numbers continue to shrink, he was forced to turn to arch-nemesis Clinton to try and save his behind, and nominate him .

The MSM, the talking heads, the chattering classes, and been babbling incessantly about the speech...given the tortured relationship between the two....and that Clinton detests Obama, and that the best chance for Hillary in 2016 will be if Obama loses.

But, BIG OOPSIE..the NFL kicks off tonight..and nobody, repeat nobody, in the audience that Obama wants, hopes, needs, to reach..will be watching...all eyes will be on the NFL opener.

More delicious irony..it's on NBC....so the gang of idiots on MSNBC..will be denied the big platform to spew their venom.

And, oh yeah.. btw,,GO COWBOYS!!!!

I thought the same. I was sure they would have him on Tuesday night to push the most viewers. Bad planning. Clinton’s BS is the only thing that might save this ticket.

HOLY CRAP

....

Look... actually.... it’s got me starting to wonder.....

.... someone asked in one thread or another, could Obama be throwing the election on purpose because there is going to be severe and bad things happening soon, and the Democrats want no part of it?

I mean, Joe Biden-a-Gaffomatic. “You didn’t build that”. Mess-up after mess-up. And now, something ABSOLUTELY and EASILY avoided — conflicting with the NFL — is also a FAIL.

It’s got me wondering if the thesis has merit.

Clinton has refused to let Obama's people read his speech. Obama and his people hate Clinton and are a little suspicious of him. Obama also likes to try to put people like Clinton in thier place and show them how much bigger he is than them.

That said, Obama has been told that having Clinton stand up for him is the only prayer he's got. So our narcisist ruler is conflicted...

Surely these examples cannot be of the same species.

Under normal circumstances, I'd agree that was a possibility, especially in light of rumors about Jihad Jugears and his family planning to move to Hawaii in January. BUT.... we're dealing with one of the most outsized egos we'll ever see. He won't give up power easily... even if he loses.

You sure that wasn’t deliberate. Clinton refused to release what he was going to say.

Not a chance. If he gets beat it'll be because he deserves to be beat, not because he "threw it". You're giving the marxist fool too much credit.

Ohhhhhhh....I think maybe Clinton planned it that way. :)

Of course, der Schlickmeister isn’t aiming for the main NFL demographic, is he? :)

...and about that "threat of bad weather"...

Charlotte-Thursday Night - A chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight, then a slight chance of showers between midnight and 1am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 70. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

This is laughable. I go to Pirates games alot and the umpires would never call the game for a forecast like this. There wouldn't even be a delay.

They’re entire convention was a clustercluck.

When we had the DNC as a client, I could not drop a deuce w/o making sure the TP in the bathroom was made in a union shop. We had to remove soft drinks that were not made by union labor. I made a spreadsheet with costs of union vs non union and at the end of the year it was an increase of close to 35%. This is how much they feel they owe to labor.

Whomever decided to place the convention in a non-union state, and non-union facilities should have been fired. Whomever decided it was a great idea to rent a stadium named for one of Obama’s biggest targets, the “banks” should be fired and whomever decided to have the later convention (for momentum) should be fired.

From a meeting organization standpoint, this was from top-to-bottom a total disaster but this is what happens when you have too many balls in the air at once. Trying to keep too many people happy and none of them are.

I'm ready for some football! I was watching a little bit of the Dem Convention last night and by the time they got to the Obamacare speech I dropped f bombs in my living room and shut off the tv, usually don't do that. Then my little 18-year-old liberal leaning brother, who knows everything by the way, started telling me how Obamacare was so great and that gas prices, grocery prices, and unemployment weren't bad. We were about ready for a cage match.

Anyway, I think the majority of the American tv audience will tune in for the NFL, football is just that hot right now. Bill Clinton is sooooooooooooooo 1992, this convention has been a disaster first BOA stadium and now putting one of their key speakers against a football game, bunch of friggin idiots.
