...Romney may well have been in the process of clarifying or softening his remarks. We may never know. When Jacobson emailed Corn asking for an explanation, here is what he got back from Corn:
According to the source, the recording device inadvertently turned off. The source noticed this quickly and turned it back one. The source estimates that one to two minutes, maybe less, of recording was missed.
The temptation is to compare the omission to Nixon secretary Rosemary Woods deletion of 18 minutes on one of the Watergate tapes. But there is a more proximate point of comparison.
Those who follow Team Obamas history of concealment will recognize a trend. In the case of at least two other crucial issues, Obamas proxies have used the clerical errors alibi to explain away some highly troubling data.

Jack Cashill is again spot on.
My question is does Romney remember what might be cut out of the video? If he does, he could use it to his advantage.
I would be very surprised if there does not exist a full recording made by someone on “our” side, which could be shown. But, what do I know?
You don't have to donate money to the Romney campaign to make a difference. (You should donate money to FreeRepublic.)
Help Romney Beat Obama Without Donating Money.
I've made 1800 phone calls from home to New Hampshire in the last seven days using the system set up by the campaign. Even 100 calls will make a difference. Who will join me?
Im in! Im headed to my local phone bank and will spin the dial for R & R in the next weeks ahead. This election is too important to think the “other” guy will do it. GET THE *^%$@^ out there and volunteer.
Oh, very good point!
Looks to me that there were many witnesses to what Romney said.
“inadvertently” is the new “unexpectedly”...
Yes, but I wonder if any of them will talk... Those are big-donor people.
Another question I have is: how does a secret service protection team miss an unknown device that is recording? With today’s technology, that could have been something far more dangerous. I am questioning the caliber of the protection provided to Romney. They better be focused on this incident as a breach and applying corrective action.
If needed.
