Who Could Possibly Be "Undecided?"
The Silent Majority ^ | 09-26-12 | J.D. Longstreet

I don't get it. How could any sentient American, after nearly four years of the reign of Obama, be "undecided" just 5 weeks before the election? How is that even possible?

I don't buy it. I think they have already decided and just want the attention.

Maybe not.

It smacks more of the MsM's drive to depress GOP voters and convince republicans to stay home on election day than it does of the truth.

But then -- what is truth?

In a country as plugged-in and wired as America, it just seems impossible for anyone to have as much information heaped upon them as the residents of this country and manage to remain undecided this late in the presidential campaign. I think the bumper sticker imprinted with "If you are still undecided, then you aren't paying attention" has more than a little merit.

The so-called undecided voters scare the heck out of me! They are said to be the "swing" voters this election cycle and that ought to worry everyone. They are said to be less partisan and less engaged. Neither condition creates any confidence in me, anyway, that these people will wind up being informed voters. That is even more frightening.

It is worrisome for me that the election could hinge on how these less engaged voters mark their ballots. I can visualize them standing in the voting booth, pencil in hand, saying: eenie, meenie, minee, moe ... ! Like I said -- it scares the heck out of me!

Another name for these undecideds is "low information" voters. Huh? How is that even possible in America today. We have a President who only stopped campaigning long enough for his swearing-in at the inaugural at noon on January 20th, 2009, and a challenger who has run for

The REALLY SCARY part is that those “people” vote and breed.

I know several who voted for obama in 2008 that are unsure if they will vote for anyone in 2012.

It's likely the pollsters just don't have a category for "I won't vote for Obama again, but I can't bring myself to vote for Romney either, so I'll either stay home or leave that line blank".

Because Obama sucks but Romney will take away your birth control, abortions, Medicare, Social Security, food stamps, and will imprison and torture homosexuals and blacks.

I think undecided means

“I know obama is a f...up and the country is swirling down the toilet, but I am going to vote for the charming black shuck and jive dude again because I envy Romeny’s wealth ... I just don’t want to admit it”

There are a bunch of undecideds here in Connecticut.

Example 1: was discussing Obama’s phrase “you didn’t build that” with another conservative (who is also a Freeper). Undecided comes along and says, “Yeah, well both sides say stupid things”. My response was, “No they don’t. There is no way Romney said anything even close to this level of extremeism or ignorance”. His response was, “well, I still don’t know who I’m going to vote for”

Example 2: undecided comes along “who are you going to vote for?” My response “I don’t like either one, but Obama is so destructive that I’ll be voting against him by voting Romney” Undecided says, “well i don’t like either one, but Romney scares me. He’s going to force the Chinese to reform their currency” My response, “Why does that scare you? The Chinese are not playing fair. Without a level playing field, we are losing jobs” Undecided: “Well, I don’t know who I’m going to vote for”

My husband chats with some of his much younger cousins on Facbook. They sound like recorded messages from MSNBC. Democrat talking points are all they know.

I talked with a customer today who is a devout Catholic and an unusually upbeat, active, intelligent 40ish woman. She strongly supports Obama.
I asked her, “How can a good Catholic girl like you vote for Obama?”
She considers his foreign policy brilliant and his economic policy exactly what America needs. He has reduced unemployment every month he has been in office. Did not believe it is because people have given up hope of finding a job.
He is doing more to care for people than any president ever. He is not a Muslim and Marxism is 100 years old. (whatever that means) He opposes abortion and seeks to limit it.
She has no information about Obama other than the MSM’s whitewash. She has not read his books, does not believe he is homosexual and considers him the hardest working president since Jimmah.
Romney, according to her, is completely unprepared. He has no foreign policy and will not do anything to help the economy.
It gets worse from there. I was dumbfounded.

Jon Stewart has Dem operatives providing him “comedy.”. It’s all coordinated. He’s the youth wing of the DNC disinformation campaign.

Did you mention to the devout Catholic that Obama supports infanticide?

People report as undecided for several reasons:
1) Some are insecure, weak-minded people who find it painful to make judgements about anything;
2) “Mind your own business” is not one of the choices;
3) Some are afraid that the anonymous pollster will report their choice to union goons, the IRS, or whatever;
4) Some are just too dumb to know.

The real enigma is the person who insists they are both a “likely voter” and “undecided”. These could be 2’s and 3’s. Others could be 1’s, who fear the pollster will think less of them if they are voting.
