10/03/2012 The Romney Comeback Began Tonight By Carter Eskew

The Romney comeback began officially tonight. He didn’t just hold the own with his president tonight; he repeatedly schooled the president on jobs, taxes, energy, health care and the deficit. Tonight, Romney erased doubts about his competence and sense of fairness; his performance will transform his standing in the race from a position of weakness and decline to strength and ascendance. Repeatedly, Romney was thematic in his criticisms and his vision; often Obama was left wandering in the weeds.

From the opening question, Romney took command. He deftly managed to make a strong, coherent critique of the president’s economic record in a calm, factual tone. He also repeatedly and effectively disputed Obama’s central critique about his tax plan, denying repeatedly that he will lower taxes on the wealthy or add to the deficit. The fact-checkers will have a field day with this, but Romney sounded credible and Obama failed to dent his confident assertions.

The Washington Post’s comment section is FULL of spin. Libs are crying HARD tonight. Meanwhile, some media outlets are actually zeroing in on the Big Bird line rather than focusing on Obama getting MASSACRED.

Honestly? I don’t think Romney needed a “comeback”, he was only behind in the polls because of ridiculously democrat-friendly turn out models.

Comeback?? Ah, those honest, non-biased “reporters” at the WaPo.

One of the best catch phrases of the debate - "Trickle down government".

One of the best visuals - middle class has been crushed the last four years- reduced income, high gas prices, high food prices, high unemployment.

Romney kept repeating that the middle class is being crushed and squeezed, and I could feel the dems cringing each time. Barry looked like he was caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

It was like Romney was debating an empty chair.

In the words of LL Cool J, “Don’t call it a comeback!’

This is what happens when a successful, long time businessman goes up against some flat foot community organizing, affirmative action fool with work experience totaling 2 weeks at Baskin Robbins go head to head on facts and figures.

Obama looked like the floor sweeper getting called into the GM’ s office for an explanation of why he cannot do his job.

Obama! You’re fired!

I think Mitt has a “there you go again” line for the next debate, Mitt is pay per view fight material. Mitt knocked it the ball out of the park and hit the lights!

Better get the pop corn ready to watch the fun when they debate about National Security and Foreign Policy.

Romney needs to keep chipping away with questions about how this administration majorly failed, and their incompetence of their handling of what happened in Benghazi Libya.

In the debate with Paul Ryan and blabber mouth and jabber jaws Biden, no contest... Ryan wins.

I am not a Romney fan so I can be pretty objective. Romney was masterful and Obama was exposed as a spoiled buffoon.

It was good, it was really good, even though Romney the Moderate peeked out from time to time.

The ‘comeback’ term is probably because the writer is a self-described liberal.

Now Romney & his team need to start spending all that money he has raised and bomb the airways for the next several weeks cause, for the first time in months, the R/R ticket is on the move. Then....bring on the knockout punch next week with the VP debate.

the problem is that yes, romney won and obama looked bad tonight- however, you can bet that the left is putting together their ‘I Feel Your Paqin’ bubba routine, whiel at the same time honing obama’s attacks against romney to make him look like a rich out of touch aristocrat, and the fickle, easily swayable crowds will swoon again toward the left weeping tears of joy and washign his feet with hteir tears and hteir hair.

IF Romney doesn’t get a HUGE boost tonight, and obama doesn’t drop significantly, then to me, that is a sign that many in the coutnry are still believing obama’s BS (as well as the MSM’s BS)-

By all rights, after years of havign our constitutional rights assaulted by obama, having our supreme court bullied and intimidated by o, having religious church assaulted and belittled and bullied by o- after several LAWLESS actiosn by o- after having unions the only ones to really profit while good citizens by the millions lost hteir jobs, and even lost their homes, by all rights, romeny shoudl have been WAY ahead of o even before this debate and hte peopel should have been completely fed up with the current do nothign president- but as we saw, that simpyl wasn’t the case- This is why I say romney NEEDS to get a HUGE boost in ratings or else he won’t be able to sustain a small lead after o comes out with his predicted ‘I feel your pain’ comedy routine- but we’ll see-

One good thing about OBummer, with his narcissism, he'll blame everybody but himself for the debate loss.
Should be a bumbling fool on the next one also.

I thought I heard Mitt quote Biden with “the middle class has been buried” comment.

Did anyone else hear that?

It is really really funny watching the incompetence of the Obama campaign surrogates on display om the post Debate spin. They were so arrogantly certain of their man that they are out there mindlessly repeating the talking points they were given before the debate. It is painfully embarrassing to watch them fumble about trying to spin this disaster.
