Tebow/Jets: An asinine idea from Start & BAD for the NFL
http://youtu.be/DmSMtFK40EA ^ | 10/9/2012 | Scott Ryan

Rex Ryan's ill conceived whim deprived Tebow & Fans of an important year in his pro career. Rex may well be job hunting next season but he should trade Tebow to a team who will START him and give fans what they want. This is a business and what Ryan has done BAD business...

(I feel embarrassed talking about football while western civilization crumbles. All I can say is football is my -only- diversion and sometimes I need an escape.)

I live in Colorado and am enjoying the Manning epic fail. I am a Gator alumni and was excited when Tebow came to Denver. The left seem determined to force Tebow to fail. I can’t believe how they hate him.

Trade him to Buffalo.

The Bills need a QB and maybe Tebow can give them a spark.

I’m with you Mtn. Imagine me, a lifetime Browns fan cheering for the Broncos all last season. I’m from Florida too and that’s how I became a Tebow fan. I believe that my son’s first words were “Tim Tebow” when he was about 3 years old. He’s 9 now and we sure enjoyed last season.

As I said in the vid, I think Tebow was the #1 or #2 top selling jersey last year. It is unthinkable that he ended up on the team of that dim wit Rex Ryan.

Are the media in Denver talking about Elway screwing up the team by ousting Tebow?

That is actually not a bad idea. The Jets need plenty of help. Who would the Bills part with?

I REALLY would like him back in Florida, preferably Jacksonville where he was raised and went to high school, family...

Sanchez is looking so bad, he may be starting for the Jets

Winning or losing a game often comes down to one or two plays. I think Rex Ryan's use of Tebow as a punt protector is smart in that it takes away the punt rush. Bringing Tebow in occasionally on short yardage situations and long yardage is also good in that it keeps defenses guessing.

By midseason, defenses start getting banged up and if the Jets aren't on a playoff track, then it may be time to consider upgrading a "fresh" Tebow to starting QB.

No way the Broncos ever get the rate of return on Manning that they got on Tebow.

the jets would rather lose the season then allow Tebow the chance to show what he can do

never forget the left is mentally impaired

Reminds me of the way the NFL treated Flutie. He didn’t fit the QB specs, so fans be rammed.

An offense has to be built around Tebow. Having him as a back-up to a pocket-passer doesn’t make much sense.

Regardless, Denver made the right decision in taking Manning. He’s got 2-4 good years left. And he’s an all-time great.

Tebow could do a lot for a lower tier team whose fans need something to cheer about.

Tebow always belonged in Jacksonville. Gabbert is proving to be useless. Pull the trigger now, unless the Jags Muslim owner doesn’t like displays of Christian pride.

They can have DE Mario Williams and his $100 million contract. Through 5 games so far, that guy has been an epic FAILURE.

From the league's perspective, football is not about winning or losing. 50% will win and 50% will lose each week. The NFL is not even in the business of football, it is a marketing/sales organization. They sell TV advertisements, ticket, jerseys, licensed Chinese junk, you name it.

Last year, Tebow was the number on reason to turn on a game, love him or hate him. He was out there selling ads like crazy.

I suspect that Tim Tebow is in New York by the charge of God, not Rex Ryan.

I have nothing against Payton Manning. He is actually doing well at quarterback at Denver in this recovery year. He is a top-rated quarterback this season. The problem is that something else is gone from the team.

So, it’s not Manning’s fault.

It’s Elway’s fault, and Elway’s apparent dislike of winning due to his distaste for things of faith and spirit.

But, it’s a young season still, and Manning is playing well.

Totally agree, I made the same comment last week — even the then-miserable Patriots in the Raymond Berry era wouldn’t let him play to his home-town fans.

Sanchez has a 5 yr/$58.25m contract, $20.5m guaranteed but Tebow was the big blunder the Jets made? Okey-dokey.

I also wish Peyton well.

Yep.

Yep.

and Elway’s apparent dislike of winning due to his distaste for things of faith and spirit.

I can cut Elway some slack and say it may be that he just didn't instinctively grasp how to utilize a QB able to do things Elway never was capable of doing.

Furthermore, most players want to win enough to make it to the playoffs. Tebow did that for the team. The turnaround Tebow effected in Bronco's fortunes is undeniable. Rising tides float all ships and I'll bet there were many other players who saw their compensation increase as a result of Tebowmania. Most players have an Al Davis attitude of "Win baby. Just win." Along comes Elway saying winning is not enough which causes players to wonder what is enough?
