I got a great laugh out of this Chuck Todd near meltdown on Meet the Depressed the other day. His voice quivered in moral outrage over Jack Welch suggesting something was up with the unemployment numbers last Friday. Chuck Todd proclaimed, “What we’re doing, we’re corroding trust in our government in a way, and one time responsible people are doing to control it. And the idea that Donald Trump and Jack Welch, rich people with crazy conspiracy, can get traction on this, is a bad trend.”
He really does not get it. Chuck Todd reflects most of the media not getting it. As ratings decline, newspaper fold, and they all scream about how biased Fox News is, they do not get it.
Neil King is a political reporter for the Wall Street Journal. He is married to Shailagh Murray who left a reporting job at the Washington Post to take the job of Joe Biden’s communications director. She replaced Jay Carney who moved to the White House and who himself left Time to take the communications director role for Biden.
John Harris of the Politico is married to an abortion rights activist who used to run NARAL Virginia.
The Politico’s Chief Washington Correspondent, Jonathan Allen, left the Politico to work for Debbie Wasserman Schultz, then returned to the Politico.
Andy Barr of the Politico left the Politico to work for the Democratic National Committee and now works for Richard Carmona, the Democrats’ candidate for Senate in Arizona against Jeff Flake.

The drive-bys not only know nothing, they suspect nothing.
Welch is right that the Unemployment Index is a fraud but wrong that it is a fraud perpetrated by the people who produce it.
The unemployment index is calculated according to the rules provided to the people who compile it.
The fraud is the claim that the rules produce a number that is meaningful.
And the fraud is the rules keep changing. So not only is the magnitude of the number meaningless, the delta of the number over time is meaningless.

The Obama administration has already destroyed what trust we had in Government Mr. Todd. The millions of American unemployed, under employed and those that have just plain given up, know that the Governments number are bullshit...
Here’s my take.
Governments lie. It’s what they do. All of them. And this has always been the case.
I won’t argue the proposition that some lie more than others but to me, that misses the big picture.
VP debate lefterator Martha Raddatz is a college dropout and pass-around slut for a number of lefties.
I agree with Milton Friedman on government statistics - they should be outlawed. All of them. They are just input to the central planners. The fact that they are compiled begs that they be controlled.
The Federal Government can create enough jobs to affect the unemployment index but we all end up poorer for it.

Chuck Todd had dropped his persona that he’s a fair reporter. He was UGLY this morning on Morning Joe....well, UGLIER than usual.

And let’s not forget Gwen Ifill, who works for publicly funded PBS, and who moderated the vice-presidential debate four years ago. She wrote a book on Barack Obama that was due to be publised on January 20, 2009. Yet she claimed no confilct of interest.
You’d think Martha would say to her boss, “hey, one of the candidates was at my wedding, so it would be a good idea to pick somebody else to moderate.” But that would take integrity. And in reality, the commission on presidential debates would not even try to find somebody to moderate a debate that was not a schill for the democrat party.
Placing yourself in league with such notorious reactionaries as Milton Friedman is treading on dangerous ground...LOL...j/k Absolutely an excellent example of the camel’s nose under the tent, .gov data gathering began with Consitutional cover with the Census, expanding from there, especially with the twisting of the Tenth Amendment on “interstate commerce”. Now, the load of .gov reporting consumes man-hours that could be put to productive use.
