An estimate of guns owned by private citizens in the state of Texas is 39 million.
That sounds credible.
That is about 2 for every man woman and child in the state.
I am very comfortable with that condition.
I think you two guys need a good nap and a good laxative. Seesh.
Yep. Journalists, teachers, and Dem pols are the first targets for CW2. Just look for the coexist bumper stickers. Even the welfare mobs will ransack and pillage the lib neighborhoods when their EBT cards stop working.
Incredible. It makes you wonder what’s the point anymore.
Don’t forget Snowe and Collins.
Re: remarks about guns lost in boating accidents, outhouse drops, etc.
Any credit/debit card records are kept for a long time, so any orders for weapon related items are retrievable. I had to retrieve records from 5 years ago from mastercard. They were still there. (ordered a rifle online and had to prove timeline)
That’s another reason that cash is king.
Yup. I order ammo and accessories on line, so .......
That's pretty odd considering of the two men running for President, only one of them previously had actually signed into law gun control legislation. The other man running had never banned anything.
As long as your talking constitution, don't forget to mention that the Supreme Law, (Article VI, para 2) requires that any laws passed must pass constitutional muster. Must first be in be in Pursuance to the constitution. And of course, the Second Amendment, being a part of the Constition, is part of the Supreme Law and CANNOT BE DISMANTLED by subsequent treaty law.
Senators and Representatives, Members of the several state Legislators, and ALL executive and judicial officers (AND THAT INCLUDES THE PRESIDENT) are bound by OATH OR Affirmation to suppost this Constition . . . .
And this Oath clause is included in the Second Amendment and is part of the Supreme Law.
Of course if the prez choses to disregard the Supreme Law and attempt to dismantle the Second Amendment in spite of his oath, this land will be as though there is no more laws to be followed and everyone can choose to follow the example of our dear leader.
Could it be the prez understands what is going to happen and has ordered all that ammo to arm all federal officers and offices to serve as his private army?
I don’t think this was about banning guns. This was about America, the responsibility to do the right thing when you go vote and electing only candidates who want what’s best for America. Not some bag ‘o sh*t out to destroy America. That’s the way I read it.
And most of them would like to get reelected.
I’m praying God with a lightning bolt, from a sudden thunderstorm on the golf course, brightens the man’s day.
OK, at least it's different from the never-ending "tragic boat accident" crap.
No offense but this has gotten as old as "Bush's fault".
I pray there is not anyone stupid enough to think this statement is anything but a very stale joke. It might even attract unwanted attention.
It's also mandatory for several male FReepers to post "Not Guilty!" responses on every attractive female thread.
So it isn’t just me that is sick of this comment.
Re post 33, yes, I am familiar with FR traditions and I think those you list are somewhat “cute” but somehow the boat accident reference just grates at me. It purports to be clever but it isn’t. And I—and probably a lot of others—have grown exceptionally weary of seeing it.
I voted for Romney, despite his record of banning guns as Governor of Massachusetts. Don't get me wrong. I don't think Obama is any friend of gun owners. However, unlike Romney, Obama has never banned anything.
Am I worried about Obama destroying the economy? You bet. Am I worried about Obama taking away my guns? Not so much. The only foray into gun control Obama has embarked upon while President has been to loosen restrictions on gun possession in national parks. Oh yeah, he also wrote a strongly-worded letter to a local Arizona news affiliate after the Giffords shooting demanding enforcement of current gun laws ---a position, strangely enough, supported by the NRA.
And then there's Obama's solid 'F' grade he received from the Brady folks (even George W., I believe, got a 'D').
And "hugh" and "series"
That is 12 votes short.
That is 12 votes short.
We have the biggest dumb fu*ks on our side!
They’re not registered, but there is a paper trail. The serial number can be traced to the shop where the gun was sold, and then they can get the records by warrant.
Make sure your local gun shop will not hand over records without a warrant!
No, it is an act of Treason.”
And like everything else he's done, there will be absolutely no consequences. You ain't seen nothin yet!
But hey, Romney would've done the exact same thing. /sarc
Preach it, brother!
"Are you logged in?" in response to any computer help related thread.
A picture of Helen Thomas in response to any attractive female thread.
A picture of a bunny with a pancake on it's head in response to any thread that doesn't make sense.
Just a little levity. Pardon me...
No kidding - it was funny the first time....in 1999.
What about the restrictions placed on American gun shops along the Mexican border as part of "Fast & Furious":?
Have gun shops been banned in Texas? I honestly don't know. I haven't been there in awhile. Can you buy a gun in El Paso these days or are they all closed down?
He was, however, full of bluster about what he would do if someone tried to take his guns, how his guns were untraceable, yada, yada, yada...
I am surprised some of these people can generate enough brainpower to continue breathing.
You’re not alone.
So he can kill off his opposition.
I just want to know what happened to the toy gun?
Don’t tell me
I watched it disappear into the abyss. The land is now a rice farm so it’s probably a rusted hunk of metal if it exists at all.
“tens of thousands will have to literally die because of Obamas blatant incompetence”
we must emphasize the fact that much of Obama’s apparent malfeasance is not always due to incompetence but mostly is part of his plan to “fundamentally transform” the United States of America (and its “charter of negative liberties” otherwise known as the Constitution) from a constitutional republic to a European-style socialist superstate at best or a Marxist bureaucracy at worst.
Yes he is incompetent, but so are most Marxist imbeciles. Obama’s animating motive is to reject and supplant the vision of the United States Constitutional framers and founders and transmogrify the United States into his version of tyranny.
To call him “incompetent” is to make it look like he’s making honest mistakes.
Old Sarge, please correct me if I am mistaken, but I distinctly remember being out in the boat with you that day and my guns are with your guns on the bottom of that lake.
What army, the UN? Really now.
In light of the sex scandle for entertainment and theater for the idiots, this could be a way of discrediting the military hierarchy and replacing it with a more cooperative command that would have no problem enforcing it’s will on its own people with a UN force as a backup
>>> To call him incompetent is to make it look like hes making honest mistakes.
You are correct... and I was being too “nice”.
I posted in another thread that because Marxists/Communists see wealth as a finite resource which must be distributed evenly, population control is one of the “fundamental” agenda items which they like to keep hidden.
Population control is a three-tiered or three-legged system:
1. Birth prevention (abortion/planned parenthood)
2. Attrition (control of health care system - death panels)
3. CATASTROPHIC DEATH (as needed)
And I remember you courageously diving in to save the ammo boxes, and I remember shouting, “SAVE THE RUM!!”
“Preach it, brother!”
My apologies for my choice language! Thank you for understanding.
“The constitution only requires 2/3 of the members PRESENT to ratify a treaty. Dont need 67 senators...”
Don’t even start that scare talk up again. It will take 67 votes to pass this POS and it won’t happen. Everybody will show up for a vote like that.
“As much as I hate to admit it, Richard Lugar would support this before his Democrat successor will”
I would not be shocked.
