Once cowed at the thought of provoking 2nd Amendment supporters, leftists will soon attempt to ban “assault weapons” (and much more) as legislation offered by Diane Feinstein makes its way to the Senate floor. It seems that DC liberals have finally become convinced that American gun owners are too cowardly, too lazy or too dependent upon the financial "generosity" of Big Brother to fight for their 2nd Amendment rights.
During the past 4 years, the gun banning left have watched as American buyers broke sales records in the purchase of semi-automatic rifles. Opting for these and other powerful, efficient weapons it is estimated that some 100 million private citizens are now in possession of over 300 million firearms. And these numbers continue to grow with each passing month.

Retain a few, disperse the rest. Private sale of firearms is legal in most states. I’m not saying to fake up bills of sales, but how can they be refuted if they were. The laws, to my knowledge do not require positive identification of the purchaser.
I live in small town America.....northern New England.
Everybody knows police officers, sheriff deputies, state troopers....and most people, myself included, know where many of these cops live. And nearly every home in these parts has multiple firearms.
When vast numbers of people are armed and angry, it’s not easy for them to be “crushed.”

Precisely- and hte reason you’re right is because thsi coutnry has clearly indicated that it no longer wishes to fight the left, nor to hold the left accoutnable for anything, and they are willign to give up one constitutional right after another, and even our state leaders have shown they are unwilling to take a stand agaisnt the government’s unconstituional acts agaisnt it’s citizens-

This is precisely why people WILL lsoe their rights to own guns- there will be small pockets of resitance, but nothign on a large enough scale to fight the massive armies of this nations- Those who did band together to form small resistance squads will be labelled as terorists, and the public will most likely even cheer when the government ‘savesw them from’ said ‘terrorists’ (of course the TRUE radical muslim terrorists will be quietly takign advantage of the distraction and strengthening hteir bases throughout hte untited states)
This all of course sounds exteme, however, how many natiosn whos citizens have claimed ‘pry my gun from my cold dead hands’ have simply quietly turned over their guns to their governments? Quite a number of them actually- And America is so different from them how? True, we WERE a nation that fought to keep our guns and keep from havign governtment lord it over us IN THE PAST, but htose days are essentially over and this last election proved that- the masses have indicated they are more than willing to lose ANY constitutional rights as long as the government keeps ‘giving them stuff’ (however, these folks apparently are too blind to see that they actually give the governemt BACK more than the government gives them- but by golly when thaT $200 dollar per year ‘stimulus check’ arrives i nthe mail, in their minds, all the pain was worth it)
This coutnry is in a bad bad state- QWe are witnesign a very rapid declien of our constitutional rights, and we are witnessign a supreme court that refuses to stop our government from trampling our riughts- and I do beleive that you arte spot on in your assessment o hte situation

Perhaps. But maybe not. I know of at least one former Marine and ex cop who added to his ‘collection’ last month. The former Marine ex cop he bought them from who runs a store is selling so many delivery is more than a month out. These men are Vietnam vets and highly trained, and they are patriots.
They also know what their current comrads in arms on the police force are thinking and where they stand. It ain’t with the federal goverment.

First time in the last decade I’ve walked out of there without buying something. Everything I was there to get was sold out.
The powers that be need to factor that into their equation.

But they could not stop the outcome, especially because they were operating over a great distance and the response time was so long.
Declaration of such a law and enforcing that declaration are two different things.
And liberals are notorious for failure to enforce their own laws on anything like a consistent basis.
I happen to live in a small town in Northern New England, too.
There are only a handful of towns and counties that are not in the hands of the DemonRAT-communists. The town offices, state legislatures and governors offices and congressional delegations of all the New England states are occupied by communists or communist sympathizers (a couple of RINOs).
The state and local police are dominated by the Unions (DemonRAT-communists). Even if they disagree with orders to disarm you, they will attempt to do so if so ordered, with very few exceptions. You can count on it.
You have to go north of Augusta to find any true constitutionalists in greater proportions than communists. And the communists still run the towns and counties through the unions.
I can’t predict with certainly how it will go, but I surmise that with few exceptions, most gun owners will comply with whatever regulations the commies make for them.

Exactly what we need is an enemies of the Constitution list names, places, associates, where they eat, photographs of people, cars, license plates, houses etc let them feel the heat of their proposed illegal acts. A group in every state should be compiling a dossier on those in their area, don’t forget news media talking idiots and their CEO’s and advertisers. Do it now before the SHTF it might just stop their ill advised poorly thought out plans. Get a list of all registered Democrats for future reference. First Amendment can help save the Second.

People have a romantic view of what will go down. They dream, as every patriotic man has done since childhood, of a Red Dawn resistance. I’ve fantasized countless times of make a successful stand in the hills, repelling government forces, making raids on the tyrant’s strongholds. But, reality is much different. Some of the smartest, most cynical, well read, people the world has ever produced are currently, as I right this, working on how to do this. The culmination of years of planning are coming to fruition. They know how to deal with the scenarios discussed in this forum. It has to be organized or it will fail.
People are praising Ted Cruz for saying this is unconstitutional. Duh!
There is no political solution because there are no politicians offering a solution. They still think 0 wants to do what’s right but is failing because he lacks the correct paradigm. He is succeeding.
