On Matthews' Hard Ball, David Corn says Rush Limbaugh is "inviting John Wilkes Booth..."

Chris Matthews opened Hardball with video from the past two days of Jim Yeager, Alex Jones and Rush Limbaugh defending the second amendment. David Corn says Rush is "inviting John Wilkes Booth..." Matthews says Rush should know better. Matthews also introduced the segment (usually rebroadcast at 7:00 PM EST) by saying he was "going to nut country" and said that was a quote from JFK just before he went to Dallas for the last time.

Right before Hardball, Martin Bashir said that the report that the armed officer assigned to the school that were the latest shooting occurred wasn't there because he was snowed-in "proves" that armed officers at schools are not the solution.

Matthews announced at the end of the segment that it is being reported that Jim Yeager has had his TN conceal carry permit yanked.

Having a cop or an armed guard at all schools would be, quite frankly, a massive waste of money. Just like those silly procedures where all the doors are locked so no one can get in are a total waste of time.

There was an armed cop at Columbine.

So three former Presidents appeared to Obama in a dream one night. What advice can you give me he asked them? George Washington said “always be honest with the American people”. Thomas Jefferson told him to “always honor the Constitution”. Abraham Lincoln said “See a play”.

...the report that the armed officer assigned to the school that were the latest shooting occurred wasn’t there because he was snowed-in “proves”....that single point failures are not the solution!

Who ever said one defender per school was enough?

The making of Abe Bama. The left joins in the cult of personality to glorify a narcissistic, America-hating demagogue.

David Corn is a New York City faggie who writes for the leftwing rag The Nation.

Saying, “to criticize the President is to encourage an assassin” has been used to silence critics since the LBJ era.

Looking at the heading, I can only shake my head and remember the fatuous statement by a Mr Welch. This was at the hearings involving Senator Joe McCarthy. The phony theatrical phrase was "Have you no shame". The left bought it hook line and sinker. It possibly shattered Joe in the public image. Cheap shot and rehearsed for effect. I ask again, have they no shame?.

For it was now over twenty years ago that the Oklahoma bombing occurred. McVeigh paid the ultimate penalty. The Clinton people came in quickly, knowing the anger and grief of the average citizen. They blamed Rush Limbaugh. I remember the salvo that Rush gave them over his radio program. One of the rare times that there was anger in his voice.

The rescue teams went on record with their support for Rush. Could people get any lower than that, to make capital over a tragedy. Then the same kind of people blamed an obscure individual for making a film that caused the murders at Benghazi, so that is par for the course.

Excuse the rant.

Wait. What? John Wilkes Booth and JFK? Did my history teacher get something backward or is there a conspiracy here?

(Yeah, conspiracy to commit idiocy on "news" television.)

George W. Bush Reconsidered (Some perspective on the much-derided 43rd president)
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2974197/posts

[snip] At times the venom accorded Bush in popular culture reached absurd — and even sick — levels. Alfred A. Knopf, for example, infamously published Nicholson Baker’s Checkpoint, a pathetic riff on shooting Bush. Gabriel Range’s unhinged 2006 “docudrama,” The Death of a President, focused on an imagined assassination of President Bush (imagine the outcry should any filmmaker today update that topos). A sick Charlie Brooker op-ed in the Guardian called for another John Wilkes Booth or Lee Harvey Oswald to kill Bush. Jonathan Chait of The New Republic more or less permanently ruined his reputation by writing an adolescent rant on “the case for Bush hatred,” one that began creepily with “I hate President George W. Bush.” Try substituting another president’s name for Bush’s and see what the reaction of The New Republic would be. [/snip]

There was an article not too long ago (and if I had even an inkling where I’d post the link) and the jist was that “Obama’s” handlers were dismayed at how to handle him anymore because he had gone rogue. Basically he was drunk on his power and no longer following the playbook to the letter.

David Cornball (cornpone? cornhusk? corn something, but I don’t know what) has a hearing comprehension problem if his take-away from that statement is Rush issuing a call to assassinate Bronco Bambi.

The left usually exhibits projection on a massive scale.

It’s just one aspect of their insanity and lack of common sense.
