The Keystone XL Pipeline has been viewed as a means to alleviate several problems: reducing America's dependency upon Middle East Oil, providing a source for America's refining of oil if America ever decides to face reality and challenge the environmentalist insistence against building domestic refineries, lowering the price of fuel at the pump (since increasing pump prices directly influences the price of all domestic products, everything moves by oil), providing employment for many Americans in the construction of the pipeline and at the port, and an assurance of a reliable source of crude (in case we decide to accept reality).

Let me start with the obvious - today, we import virtually no oil from the middle east. Most of it comes from Canada, Mexico and South America (primarily Venezuela). So, this starts off with misinformation.

As long as the left runs this country and/or pantywaisted environazis are given a say, we will never build any additional refinerirs, much less be able to expand the capacity of existing refineries. That ship done sailed long ago. The environazis have made it too difficult for the oil companies to build or expand their refineries.

Finally, I am of the opinion that zero and his leftist travellers want gas prices to remain high and go higher. Should we ever see gas prices drop to or below $2.50/gal. during this admininistration, for example, I believe that 75% or more of Democrats in Congress would submit bills raising the gas tax so that the price of gas returns above $3.25/gal. mininmum.

The left is dedicated to punishing America for being the most successful nation on earth and they know that fuel is the driver of our economy. zero makes it clear that he is in bed with the ignoramuses who push "green" energy solutions (just think algore and you'll have the picture!). Anything the left can do to cripple our economy and stall job growth is on the table. Anything that opposes those things constitutes an act of war.
