This is getting a little creepy.
According to one estimate, since last year the Department of Homeland Security has stockpiled more than 1.6 billion bullets, mainly .40 caliber and 9mm.
DHS also purchased 2,700 Mine Resistant Armor Protected Vehicles (MRAP).

Take a look at that photo. Those are play guns. Notice the orange marking on the ends? And yes, my Boy Scout troop was armed when we went to the rifle range, something I presume they don’t do anymore.
And I never called them tanks, did I? Just as I don’t call APCs and IFVs tanks. But journalists, by and large, couldn’t tell a Zero from an F-15, or a Bradley from a PT-76, as I’m sure you know.
So if something is labeled “homeland security” it’d be impossible for National Guardsman to get in and drive? LOL
Oh, btw, if these were National Guard vehicles, they’d be labeled “US Army” not National Guard. Just as Air National Guard aircraft are labeled “US Air Force” not Air National Guard, except for the squadron name on the tail fin.
The people of the United States have in their possession, right this minute, more ammunition than was used in World War I and II, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Iraq and Afghanistan, combined, by both sides. Just the deer hunters in this country would be the largest infantry force ever seen on Earth in the entire history of mankind. Most of those hunters own several high-powered & scoped rifles, camouflage clothing, camping supplies, vehicles capable of going off-road and many have also night vision devices. I almost feel sorry for the Left. They have no idea the fire they are playing with.

I don’t know. All I know is from what I read, the big contracts (the 450M and 750M ones) were supposed to be over five years. Maybe Coburn’s staffer was thinking of another contract.
