They either need to pick Standard Time (my preference) or DST and leave the clocks there.
Standard. There is a reason it’s called “Standard.” As it is, we’re on Standard less than half the year, and I blame Bush.
In Russia, they moved the clock forward one hour in the spring and have kept it there permanently.
I think we should pick one time and stick with it year around. DST is not observed at the equator because the hours of sunlight don’t vary much to justify a change.
AZ and HI don’t make the change because the extra hour of heat in a desert and subtropical climate isn’t worth it.
For those of us observing DST, the familiar jingle always helps - “spring forward, fall back.”
