Inconceivable! Home raided over innocent Facebook photo of child’s rifle

An innocent photograph posted on Facebook of a beaming, spectacled boy proudly displaying a birthday present from his father prompted a police raid befitting an al-Qaida terrorist.

New Jersey resident Shawn Moore, a National Rifle Association firearms instructor, range safety officer and New Jersey hunter education instructor, gave his son a .22-caliber rifle for his 11th birthday.

THIS is something the NRA should get involved in.
File suit. Discover who ordered the investigation and raid.

Attach their house, cars, retirement accounts to the civil suit.

Get them under oath and force them to admit that it wasn’t law, but their own prejudices that caused them to order the investigation.

It should scare the hell of whoever ordered this raid.

Find out, and and make them worry.

A lot.

The story is bad, but is “raid” really the word to use here?

The cops showed up with the DFS lady and they tried to get the guy to open his safe. They had no warrant and really no PC, but they went ahead and showed up and tried to gain access to the home and safe, and failed. Good on the father for standing up, getting his lawyer on the phone and standing firm.

I don’t see “raid” as the word to use, but they father should definitely make a fuss.

Three ways to take over a nation:

1. Take control of the media. DONE

2. Flood the country with money. DONE

The KKK was shut down as an organization by such a huge award in a suit brought by the Southern Poverty Law Center that it lost its property. This same tactic should be used by the NRA to go after the agencies and personnel responsible for this outrage.

OPSEC. Don't post anything on the web that you don't want everyone in the whole world knowing about. Information about guns, ammo and prepping are especially dangerous in these Stasi-ridden times. If you are wise, as far as the web is concerned you will own no guns and no ammo and think preppers are dangerous crazies. Learn to think like the French Resistance. They didn't have merry discussions about their weapon caches in street cafes. If they met in public they talked about women and the weather, and if a curious stranger got too close they would offer him a fag and pretend to be friendly.

It sucks, but it is the way it is.

There was no raid. They knocked on the door and demanded to see the guns. The homeowner was on the speakerphone with his attorney who said they would need a warrant. They never saw the guns.

Not that this does not really pi$$ me off, but this was not what most people would see as a “raid”.

Doesn’t government have anything more useful to do with its time and money? Maybe it’s time to take away some of the money.

File suit. Discover who ordered the investigation and raid.

You haven’t got a chance unless you make it to the USSC.

This raid was initiated by a child abuse report. Laws protect the anonymity of anyone reporting child abuse.

It is unconstitutional but you have to get to the USSC to win.

I totally agree. I really hope there is a suit filed. Checking on a child’s welfare with no proof of wrongdoing? My question is, did they have to let the police in the home at all without a warrant?

They don’t have to take your guns: They just have to take your child. 80% of the people will willingly give up their firearms and practically thank you for it to get their kids back.

A long time ago, in another life, I did some wrap-around services contract work for GA’s Dept. of Family and Child Services.

You may not have had the chance to witness the kind of reckless power they can wield, but the cops bringing them in is the biggest threat that they were trying to send to the father - and to any parent out there.

They can go to a sympathetic judge and get this kid taken from the home with very little evidence that the child is in immediate danger. Then, they simply make one of the stipulations for getting the child back the surrender of all firearms.

I’ve seen that stipulation in case plans.

A parent will do it. It’s either that or fight it and then your kid could be in state guardianship for years.

I’ve also seen parents forced to undergo psych. evals. as a regular part of most case plans. They’ll use that against you as well.

99% of the time Wives will divorce a man who even hesitates to do it right off of the bat. A woman sticking it out for years just to maintain her 2A rights is unheard of.
