A lot of Americans know that the US government is out of control. Anyone who has cared enough to study the US Constitution even a little knows this. Still, very few of these people are taking any significant action, and largely because of one error: They are waiting for “the good guys” to show up and fix things.
Washington is an unfettered beast. The system will NOT fix itself.
You and ten million of your closest friends have to march up the the tyrants' offices and say "YOU'RE FIRED!"
Until we get that through our demoralized, wooden heads, the show will go on.
How?
I appreciate the invitation to crawl under a rock and surrender, but no thanks.
The storm you speak of is surely coming unless WE do something to prevent it - and we can.
If every able bodied Freeper and like-minded patriot activist descended on Capitol Hill and blocked street traffic, forcing the police to arrest thousands, it would spark similar acts of civil disobedience, nationwide.
If those protests were kept up, and even strengthened, it would culminate in a complete reset of our government.
There are only two other effective responses beyond that, that I can think of. One is a wide scale tax revolt, which will be almost impossible to organize. The other is the last 'box'.
Fancy words. Meant figuratively, not literally, I have to assume.

Literally marching up to some Federal Office shouting “you’re fired” would only deliver the evidence the Tyrants in DC and in the media want in order to complete the process of establishing their tyranny.
How about a real plan?

If you don't have the wits to see that nothing short of an unrestrained, direct confrontation with the monsters will even begin to get them to back off, then you've got your head in the sand.
Face facts. You can either fight suppression, or you can succumb and surrender to it.
Blacks of the civil rights era chose to fight back with civil disobedience, and it changed the dynamic of race relations in this country forever.
The original colonists in America chose to fight back against the tyranny of King George, and they birthed a new nation.
The people of India marched in protest of British colonialism and oppression, and the British Empire stood down.
This isn't rocket science. Stand mute, and the monster will eventually eat you. Stand up and fight, and you win your freedom.

Seriously, friend. We're all we have. If there is a Great Hero, they're not going to call us all to battle. We have to assemble first, and that hero will be amongst us.
I agree with you and when I said “Shut D.C. Down” that is exactly what I meant. The two Big D.C. protest I mentioned were on a Saturday or Sunday - lasted all day - everyone cleaned up and left... I say plan the big rally on a Sunday - with permit and then just do not leave. But we must have 3-4 million people there or staged to come in late ... then we just do not leave... stay in the streets all week until we get results. We will have to lie to get permits for say a few hundred thousand - then have people staged in the Virgina Parks to come waltzing in. And for the nay sayers. With multi-million crowd - no amount of the jackboots and armored cars we saw in Boston can move 3-4 million people who do not want to be moved. And if physical actions were taken large scale - tear gassing and clubbing of Americans - the rest of America would demand that the government step down. All the while the crowd would make millions of phone calls — to get more people to show up... Park in Virginia and walk in ... It would be demanded that members of Congress come out and talk... Peaceful Civil Disobedience of a grand scale...It worked in Russia and Ukraine - The Velvel Revolution ...
The unfettered beast used to be "constrained" by a responsible media...which was at one time considered the fourth branch of the government and actually at some point not that long ago thought it was their responsibility to keep the government semi-honest...

I was referring to the main stream media network news which according the Bernie Goldberg think they are neutral or unbiased....but they live in a liberal bubble and echo chamber....when asked if they are liberal they truly are confused...

Civil disobedience against race laws works. Civil disobedience against legally entrenched faceless bureaucratic tyranny? The whole problem is that the power is now entrenched and diffused, hidden behind 2000 and 14,000 page pieces of “legislation” that no one understands but that authorizes tyranny.
Sorry, but marching on Washington and shouting slogans is not a plan.
Get back to me when you have a plan rather than words.

Victory requires a plan. I’m all for action and eager for victory.
Courts? There was a time when the courts might have overturned tyrannical legislation. But now we have an Executive Branch that just ignores courts.
There was a time when, if the Media had exposed the abuses of power and the tyranny, it might have inspired electoral shift and real change.
But that’s gone. The Media won’t expose the abuses in the first place but even if they did, the low information but thoroughly debauched populace would yawn.
Face reality. The mob hates your and my guts. The mob is mobilized. The media lives from and for the mob. The number of people who care is now a minority.
Grab pistols and pitchforks and march on Washington? That would confirm the Lie told about us: a bunch of weirdos who want to turn the clock back and can be summarily ignored.

Now, my plan: the states rebel, as states, as state governments and dare the Feds to crush them.
But are ore of a handful of states solid enough (free enough from fifth-column tyrants within) to stand in solidarity against the Federales?

You misinterpret me, probably my fault. I will never stop resisting, nor do I suggest otherwise.
But we are not winning, nor will we win, politically speaking. Not going to happen. We must fight to the bitter end, but be ready to deal with what is going to happen. We do a disservice to our families if we are not preparing for what is going to happen despite our best efforts.
What does Hussein do in response? Call out the army to put down the rebellion? If there is to be violence, let him initiate it against peaceful Americans.

The country is in bad shape. Still, I will keep writing letters, making phone calls to my reps, and trying to enlighten libs to conservative values. No, I can’t control what will happen, and maybe it is too late. But, I can do what I can do.
I don't disagree with that, but our destiny isn't yet cast in stone. There's still an opportunity to turn the tables in our favor, if we'll only take it. It means committing to large scale, sustained civil disobedience. It's the last stop before full on rebellion.
Agreed, but the JBTs will never give us a permit to hold such a rally, as soon as their intelligence tips them to what we're really going to do.
Screw the permits. Just show up with millions of other patriots, and shut DC down. Keep it shut down until thousands are jailed, and the country is melting the phone lines to every gov't office and the media. Make the Commies come out so we can put them on notice that they no longer have the consent of the governed.
I want to see resignations. Mass resignations. From the top, all the way down to the lowest level federal worker. The fish has rotted from head to tail, and needs to be replaced. Doing anything less will assure that this will end in full scale rebellion.
I don't think you quite understand what I'm suggesting.
I've already said that the time for peaceful Tea Party rallies in the park is behind us. We've got to take it to the next level, which is major protests coupled with real civil disobedience. We have literally got to jam DC with millions of Americans who are pissed off enough to go to jail to make their point. We've got to make such a show, that it forces the federal gov't to resign - en masse.
I know that's a tall order, but it can be accomplished with enough committed protesters. Even if it only started with several thousand of the very most committed souls, their actions of civil disobedience would soon garner such headlines that reinforcements would pour in by the millions.
Now, you can believe such actions would have no effect, but I strongly disagree. The government cannot withstand that level of anger directed at it for any sustained length of time. It will force more real motion in the direction of our objectives than most can imagine.
I'm talking about a movement here. Not a one time rally in the park. This has to be launched with an eye toward forcing our government to abandon its Socialist goals and practices, and returning to the dictates and prescriptions of the US Constitution. That necessarily includes resignations of every federal official, elected and appointed, from top to bottom.
It can be done, and the opportunity still exists now. If we refuse to take that opportunity, we relegate ourselves to alternatives which will be much more disruptive, violent, and destructive.
