Thank You! I was trying to come up with a way of saying what you did so well - wanting war is nuts - foregoing it into slavery and tyranny is insane.
You may be missing something. The question isn't whether the second civil war will be terrible if it comes (it will!). The question is whether the alternative would be even worse (I'm starting to think it would).
I have an excellent neighbor who is an immigrant from Romania. He is a brilliant engineer and runs his own business now; he’s now a patriotic American citizen. But he tells some great stories about his involvement in the resistance against the Russians in Romania. I would not have thought him capable of such things.
If you ever get a chance, you should seek out and talk to some people like this. Very interesting perspective.
If you love your country, you are a patriot. But if you love your government, you are an idiot.
What a phenomenon is the presence of Barack Hussein Obama, the mystery man of the century, in the Oval Office.
Here is a man with no professional accomplishment who beguiled many Americans into believing that he could run the world’s largest economy, command the world’s most powerful military and execute America’s most consequential job.
This miscreant was ushered into and through the Ivy League despite unremarkable grades and test scores, handed a cushy non-job as a “community agitator, fumbled through a brief career as a state legislator who achieved nothing and finally completed a totally undistinguished term as a senator while devoting his time to run for president.
He left no achievements in academia, authored no signature legislation as a legislator.
Reviewing his close associations we see the white-hating, America-loathing preacher who for decades served as Obama’s “spiritual mentor”; a real-life, actual terrorist who served as Obama’s colleague and political sponsor. It is easy to imagine a future historian looking at it all and asking: how on Earth was such a man elected president?
You're welcome; it quite pleases me that you found I spoke well.
