Sarah Murnaghan, a victim of ObamaCare at the tender age of just ten years old has beaten back the Death Panel, at least for now. Thanks to the intervention by federal judge Michael Baylson, Sarah got her urgently needed and life saving lung transplant with no time to spare.
This is open defiance of Death Panel Czarina Kathleen Sebelius' order that she be allowed to die because it's simply against the rules to allow a child to receive adult lungs. Ignore the fact that the child's doctors all insist that adult lungs would work in Sarah's case. The Czarina hath spaketh.
Obama's boss, George Soros has long been a fan of death panels. Mr. Compassion was irked when his own father refused to die in a timely manner. "I was disappointed in him . . . I wrote him off." Soros is a believer in euthanasia for humans whose medical conditions have rendered them too big of a financial drain on the system. Hence his Project on Death in America.
The sine qua non of communisim is the dimunition in value of the individual human life. The collective is all. Stories like Sarah's are inevitable if ObamaCare is allowed to stand. We can't always rely on the courts to do the right thing.
Little Sarah's surgery went well and her prognosis is good, no thanks to the government which would just as soon have killed her: some live, some die, after all, says the Czarina.
We must all pray for this family for peace and healing. Amen.

Obama's first words of response were: "There have to be rules." He then went on to say that the mother should have had pain killing pills, instead.
This is the essence of the Obamacare death Panels. There have to be rules, and they shall not be broken.
May Sebilus drown in her own sputum someday soon.
Is there any reason why Sarah is more important than other patients on the transplant list?
Will we ever know the name of the person who was bumped down the list as a result of the judge’s decision?
What have we gained?
We have an organ donor who is now dead, their lungs transplanted into Sarah so that she might live and someone else on the donor list who will likely die.
There are no winners.
By rather, a Zero Sum Game of life and death dictated by an overreaching federal judge and a media frenzy.
Sebelius is pissed and payback will be hell .... 10 more little kids have already been Death Paneled and she can panel them quicker than they can get them overturned.
Kill her, it’s for the children... well.... the illegals children.. (sarc off)

Sad story, happy ending. Nothing to do with Obamacare, though. The under-12 rule is the work of the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network, which was established in 1984 under Reagan. The last time they updated their policies was in 2005, before Obamacare.

Thanks for clarifying this touchy matter. Much as I am disinclined to cut Sec’y Sebelius (sp?) any slack, she was not empowered to break the standing rule. Much more appropriate that the rule be tweaked by a court, even if only on a one-time, ad hoc basis. I doubt that Sec’y S. would oppose a formal change in the current rule.
Because it was established in 1984 doesn’t mean the 12 year old was part of it and if you think the Sec would like to change it you should get help.

What makes you think someone was bumped off the list? I have read numerous articles about this and no where does it say she was placed at the head of the line. No one lost out simply because this girl got a lung. You are obviously a liberal trying to be a concern troll. Take it somewhere else.

We know that there is a list of people neededing organ donations and we know it took court action to place Sarah in the list.
It is thus likely that someone was moved down the list or assigned less prioroty on the list.
She didn’t jump in front of anyone. But a whole bunch of adults jumped in front of her while this was being debated.
