When someone video records the police, do you characterize that as baiting the police?
And, as I have said, ad-nausium, he did nothing illegal, there was no probable cause to detain him. But they have been trained to look for abnormal and suspicious behavior...and according to their rules and precedent (which I do not agree with) that gave them cause to investigate further.
As I have also said, once doing that, their reactions were very predictable.
That does not make the police right and the young man wrong. He did however purposefully push those buttons.
He could easily have simply rolled down his window and spoken with them. He chose not to, which he has a right to do.
And now we have a record of him not doing so. I am grateful he had enough sense when to draw the line, because had he pushed them on their ultimate entry into the vehicle, things could have...and probably would have...gotten a lot more difficult and even dangerous for them.
As I said before, You can be right...but you can also be dead right.
There is a time for putting your life on the line too...I simply do not think in this case, a DUI stop where you are intent on pushing LEOs buttons is one of them.
But each must decide for themselves.
But each must decide for themselves.
True, and apparently he decided to take that risk. In doing so, he exposed some bad actors among the police.
Do you at least agree we should thank him for having done that?
Already answered that one, Ken. Read my posts...number 75 to be specific.
Can I take that as a “Yes, we should thank him”?
I made the comments I made, when I said it was a good thing that we have the video, I meant it, just as I meant every one of my other comments.
You can figure it out from there.
