Intelligent Design

Whose Will decreed This slash of sea
Would frame This sun in gleams of green?
What Plan determines stone's decline,
Or shapes in stars, or shadow's sheen,

Or that we track, as clever beasts,
The passing haze of comet's fall,
And are the glaze of Thought on flesh
That sees the need of Plan at all?

Ye who marvel light, time, matter and dimension
thinking chance as king,
may you consider at which you marvel
tis but tinkering in the mind of God

I’ve often wondered if inter-stellar/inter-galactic dust would account for some of the red shift much like our red sunsets.

The video seems to infer that we are at the center of the great expansion, that we have found the edge of the universe, and that there are over 100 billion galaxies in the universe. Are we sure of these three things?

We cant even imagine how small and insignificant we are.

To say there is no G*d is the height of arrogance.

My 2 cents on this.

Galactic "redshift" is calculated from the lines in spectrograms, where the positions of those lines is an artifact of the elements giving off the light. Those lines shift if the object giving off the light is moving relative to the observer.

Our "red sky" is a different effect, and the spectral lines aren't shifted. The atmosphere just filters out the shorter wavelengths so we see red.

Galactic dust does dim the intensity of the light that reaches our instruments.

Everyplace is the center of the great expansion. We look to be located at "the edge," as viewed from an observer who is located at we observe as "the edge."

I would say that >100 billion number is a reliable number, with the caveat being "observable universe."

How big is big, and how small is small? For all we know, the entire universe may be a cell inside a giant creature. One of many giant creatures. And every cell in our bodies might be a universe unto itself, teeming with galaxies, stars, planets and life. So miniscule that mankind’s most powerful microscopes will never see them. As is above, so is below. And all humans know deep in our souls that none of this is an accident.

Probably just a function of traveling through the medium of space, just as you state. They ignored the simple explanation and came up with a fantastical big bang theory. Silly fools. Thing they know everything, when they actually know nothing.

Cool. Interesting that the narrator states there are over 100 billion galaxies in the universe. Compared to what our government steals and spends, the galaxy is rather small potatoes.
