How The Times Have Changed: CIA Files Prove America Helped Saddam Use Chemical Weapons
Zerohedge ^ | 08/27/2013 | Tyler Durden

Remember all of the propaganda ahead of the USA’s “democracy unleashing” invasion of Iraq in 2003. It went something like this: “We have evidence that Saddam Hussein has stockpiles of weapons of mass destruction, and even worse he has a histroy of using them, even against his own people!”

Well unsurprisingly, Mr. Hussein had a little help from his friends. The United States of America. Let’s bear this in mind as our Noble Peace Prize winning President attempts to involve us in another unconstitutional war based on the fact that chemical weapons have been used. Let’s be adults here and recognize that every single thing we have been told about Syria has been a lie. Let’s also admit that the “rebels” that we are allies with have al-Qaeda elements to them, and that Saddam Hussein was a close ally in the 1980?s before we decided he was the most evil dictator on the planet 20 years later for engaging in chemical attacks we were actually a party to. And the full documents from Foreign Policy:

And that is the reason we were so sure that Saddam had WMD’s.

Because we gave them to him.

Oh horses--t. Hussein built the chemicals himself (with the assistance of German & Dutch chemical companies who supplied the precursors and equipment).

Mustard gas and Sarin are WWI and 1920's technology-- he didn't need our help.

Just because we rightfully detest the current regime in DC (or the Clintoon regime in the past) doesn't mean we have to accept every left-wing or foreign slander of the US.

The only help Saddam ever got from the US was satellite and other intel predicting Iranian attacks during the early to mid-1980's.

Would those be the WMDs which the liberals said that Saddam never had?

Caspar Weinberger summed it up when he noted that we had aided both Iraq and Iran in the hope they’d kill off each other.

Saddam was never a “close ally”.

I know you were replying to post #2, but I don’t think the article was saying we gave the WOMD to Sadaam, but that we knew he had them and would probably use them.
We helped Bin Ladin in Afghanistan, helped overthrow the Shah in Iran, helped Sadaam fight Iran; seems like there is no winning with those people. As Palin said, we should just let them work it out. Let’s drill our own oil so we don’t have to cater to Saudia Arabia.

“Let’s drill our own oil so we don’t have to cater to Saudia Arabia.”

Agree, but there is one more dog in this fight. Standard of currency.

The article calls this “Reagan’s Fault”. We stood by and “did nothing”, while the Iranians and Iraqis were engaged in a vicious fratricide, no holds barred.

Like what could the US do at the time? Stop two anti-American regimes from fighting each other? What was our national interest there?

Only when Saddam Hussein turned from his attacks on Iranians on the border, and the Shi’as and Kurds in his own country, that he attracted our attention in a most unwelcome way, by attacking Kuwait and threatening the flow of oil into international commerce.

Other countries are starting to make deals to trade with each other in currencies other than the dollar (petrodollar).
You are correct.

The Globalist agenda has to incorporate the ME countries...it's not just about the oil...it's about world control and distribution of wealth and resources...and who has the most to earn a place at their table of Governance once implemented.

The powers that be are all lining up the countries they have, can get and can Ally with....the more they have the better they will be positioned in the NWO Governance....

That is what we are seeing playing out on the world stage among nation leaders.....and no secret focus is on the Mediterranean nations....and why France and Germany and Britain...are so eager to play in the Syria war now....

It seems to me we are not doing too well in that game. Most of the ME countries we get involve with are only our allies until they don’t need us anymore.
Can the NWO plan be stopped?
