English is a sexist language: women have an elevated place. A "man" is a "person," but a women is a special kind of person (a "man" with a "womb".) A "him" is either male or a person of unknown gender. A "her" is an explicitly female person. Having not known at post #4 what the case was, I make no apologies for my language or culture. Once she offers to hug JimRob, it's another story...
It depends on people adding to the thread. Ping people interested in Sarah. I read what she said on a different thread and it was great. Add to your thread yourself and keep it in the current eye, answer those who post to it.

Without taxing my Saturday morning caffeine level by researching it, I do recall seeing at least one other article posted in the past couple of days re Sarah/Syria/etc prior to your whining polemic.
Lastly, unless age has totally hosed my instincts, the avarice you're insinuating toward Jim is offensive on both the personal and organizational levels, and an apology is owed, imho.

Someone posted a frivolous lawsuit and she bailed.
American Dream was obviously upset. Shame on lots of FReepers for jumping all over him/her. I've noticed a certain knee-jerk tendency here that borders on cruelty.
Everything turned out fine. FR got additional donations from the OP and from some of the "heartless" responders (including me.)
