Since they already built an oil pipeline the juts out and goes around Syria, why is this considered not an option for the Natural Gas on the same route?

And the dumb bunnies in Europe are full tilt on windmills, solar and shutting down Germany's Nukes, yet they could buy natural gas from Israel soon and not have to put up with any of these wackmadidnanutjobs and if they really had some
cohones they probably have shale formations and could Frack their way to independence and prosperity...
What am I thinking? I am talking Europe here. Oops for a moment, I was thinking it was also Obama's new Amerika I was describing...

I wouldn’t doubt it. SA looks after their own interests (as to be expected) and uses the U.S. to that end. They are not our friend.

Lefties will say...it is not about oil, it is GAS. Therefore they will feel it is correct to go to war.GAS OK; OIL NOT.

No, we’ll be going to war with Russia over a gas pipeline.

And my point is we don’t have too, if the ultimate customer is Europe it is their problem who to buy from or find their own. What bothers me is we are carrying their H20 over a fight that maybe between Russia and Quatar and the Saudi’s of who gets to supplu NG? That is to much Fun in DysFunctional for me, I want nothin’ to do with all 3 of them, they all suck and Europe is too stupid to see it.

I'm proud to say I am one of the very first people (at least one of the first that I am aware of) who advanced this theory. :)

It’s not simply about energy...in the long run it also involves political influence. Turkey is also a player in this embroglio. If transit through Turkey is successful then political leverage (through manipulation of energy flo) to gain EU membership is guaranteed. Then the EU can Kiss their democracy goodbye.

Recall that proposed pipelines through the Caucus were a major contributing factor to Russian/Georgian conflict. Russia wants to maintain a stranglehold on gas supplies to Europe.

Qatar wants to install a puppet regime in Syria that will allow them to build a pipeline which will enable them to sell lots and lots of natural gas to Europe. then let Europe fight the war.
