What these bikers needed to do was paint rainbows on their helmets.
Then every news camera in America would be pointing their way.
But my mother cannot fathom *why* I love and trust my biker friends more than my own family.
There’s been a lot of distortion about this ride from all sides. Showing the Pentagon/Rolling Thunder pix as if it were the 2M Bikes was unnecessary. Who knows any more what the actual truth is? I know more than I’d like about traffic jams in DC and on the Beltway, but didn’t see that on Wednesday.
I think there was probably a very good showing and those who rode are to be thanked. This could be the start of something significant as 9/11remembrances in the future. Planning needs to start now for next year. They didn’t have much time for effective planning, permitting, etc. this year.
Unfortunately ... too true !
Too bad...
Bikers? What bikers? I didn’t see anything on CNNABCCBSNBC about them. Must not have happened.
I kept clicking on various traffic cams and didn’t see a single motorcycle on any of them. I wondered if the cameras were showing true images or some mock up.
If they go to all the trouble to lie about this, what else are we being lied to about? We know everything about hussein is being lied about and 99% of what is happening in the general government but what about other news worthy events?
What do you mean too bad?
The muslim bastards attacked us, then want to rub our noses in it by having an anniversary celebration commemorating the destruction they brought down on us 9-11-2001.
It’s up to us ordinary citizen’s to remind the politicians, and apparently you too, that we’re still going to have do the American thing and kick their asses. I mean really kick their asses, not this half hearted stuff we’ve been doing the past decade, but the kind of destruction that burned the cities of Japan and won us WWII,
To Hell with Islam.
It’s only out of respect to Jim Robinson that I’m not telling you how I really feel about those camel humpers and their defenders.
A poster had news about LW, a biker from OK who was in a horrendous wreck in Nashville, TN. They are requesting prayers. It was on Facebook. FB has had tons of pictures.
Might be wrong, but 1.2 mll is about 1/3 o
f the population ?
A member posted on Facebook yesterday about a biker who had trouble on the way home. Help was needed nearby. Within 30 minutes he had the help he needed plus offers of food and money and was back n the road. Some of the posts were from out of the country. Some on this site hate FB but I have seen how helpful members are.
My “Too bad” is simply that the PC-leftist-communists will use it to put “us” on a negative view.
Who gives a rip?
They’re going to ‘give i’t to us anyway, this way we get to smash their face in first.
That 55 mile long group must have been in California. The DC beltway is about 39 miles long. My daughter left out of Ft. Washington about 12:15 headed on the out loop of the beltway to Bethesda/Walter Reed Hospital. She said she saw only one motorcycle in the 45 minute drive. I can only say that the bikers must have been going 55+. And I saw the photos of the start point and some intermittent film during the day of the bike ride, thus there were several thousand here, but not 1.2 million. That many would have completely shut down the DC beltway.
1.2 million is about .3%
A biker is never alone on the road.
We’ve had people stop to see if we needed help when we were really just taking a break or figuring out where we were headed next.
There’s sort of a shorthand/sign language.
The approaching rider raises a hand in a questioning manner and you either wave them in or on.
In August, I was riding down a back road when my camshaft suddenly broke.
Within 5 minutes, people spilled out of their homes, offering help, food, drink and “emotional support”.
There *are* many good people on this earth and a disproportionate number of them seem to be on two wheels.
Many times, whether alone or with hubby, aid was offered to stranded “1%ers”.
Their gratitude extends ‘til death and beyond.
Some we helped decades ago still watch over us and others have since passed on but their club brothers take up the watch.
Good people.
:)
Have you been to Facebook to read the stories? They are wonderful but there are always a very few who join any group to cause problems. The others seem to be on the lookout for them. Check it out.
