Jeb Bush says GOP should know its limits in Obamacare fight

WASHINGTON — Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush cautioned House Republicans on Wednesday to be aware of their limits in the latest fight over funding the government and defunding Obamacare.

House Republicans will vote later this week on a continuing resolution that would fund the government through the end of 2013 and defund the Affordable Care Act to prevent it from being implemented. The Democrat controlled Senate is highly unlikely to vote to defund the healthcare law, and if they take up the bill, they will send it back to the House looking very different. Republicans will then try to muster the votes to pass a clean CR, and kick the fight over Obamacare into the debt ceiling negotiations.

If the House and Senate fail to pass a CR, the government will shut down on October 1.

Asked if the fight to defund Obamacare was worth risking a government shutdown while appearing at an event on education with Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Bush said the law was bad, but Republicans should be practical

After a few years in the spotlight these guys start to like the trappings of government. They forget all about what they were supposed to be doing.

The Bushes cleared the way for the clintons and obamas.

Would that there had been no Bushes in government.

Oh Jeb, ye of little faith. How does it feel to be amongst the first to throw in that towel of surrender? Fight my brother, we could still win.

Is that lovely lass, a Ms Cindy Sheehan still camped out waiting to pose for pics as she uses a megaphone to cuss about George Bush?

Given that she is very quiet now that OBummer is Prez. I am doubtful she remembers where Waco is.

Actually Sheehan still didn’t shut up, but the MSM no longer found her useful for the cause.

Jeb mispoke. He meant to say that the GOP should know it’s place.

Lots of those old dogs are out-living their usefulness it seems. Both red team and blue team. Hopefully we will outlast them.

Wasn’t it Sen. Burr who wrote the book about how conservatives go to DC and become corrupted? He has become a prime example of that.

It is almost inevitable, nobody is immune to it. Not even Ted Cruz. If he is what we think he is, we need him running in 2016 for President.

Still waiting to see if Mr Cruz is under Jesuit influence. My guess he will break the heart like hermano Rubio. Still waiting - IF he calls out the current malady then I may trust him - a little.

He didn’t just magically arise based on merit. If merit was enough, President Perot would have balanced the budget years ago and we would never have known the evils of Slick Willie, Gore, Bush and Orbummur.

Shorter Jeb: “Remember, guys - in the end we still need to capitulate to whatever the Democrats want.”

Jeb Bush
(spit)
Thia is the guy who got stared down by a freaking county probate judge and then stood by wringing his hands as the world watched a helpless woman get murdered by starvation on TV for three weeks.

Yeah, I’m surprised he’s a coward when it comes to defunding Mengelecare. Not exactly.

Moderate Jeb will get the 2016 nomination because he is the definition of an elite establishment republican who happens to come from a long line of elite establishment republicans. He is their royal standard bearer and he is one of them. If he runs, they will move heaven and earth to get him into office. They will manipulate every law they have rigged in their favor. Press every rule they control into effect to defeat anyone running against him. That includes Chris Krispy Creme Christie. This time they will actually run against democrats, their friends across the aisle, but if they win, they will govern like the socialist democrats they are.

It won’t matter if one or a hundred conservatives run against him. If only one conservative runs against him, they will make sure that person is buried. Both McCain and Romney were just place holders. They never expected them to win, never even wanted them to win, yet look how hard they fought against conservatives. Those two were just put into place until the elite/establishment felt the time was right for JEB! They will pull out all the stops and will be taking no prisoners in order to see JEB! nominated.

They will spend every dime they have to elect him and press every regulation they have put into place to ensure his victory. The only thing they can’t control and can’t buy is the vote of We the People. But we will be told JEB! is our candidate. We will be told he is the only one who can win. Yes, they will actually compete this time because JEB! is one of them. To increase their chances of winning, they may even make an attempt to heal the rift in the party by choosing Cruz, Palin or Rand Paul as VP candidate. But make no mistake, they have no intention of giving conservative beliefs anything more than a few minor and unimportant victories.

President Perot? Are you serious? He was a shill for the Clintons - helping to defeat Bush 41 - they were in cahoots.

Oh ye of little faith. Let’s not be so negative this early in the game. There will be plenty of time for negativity later.
