What this means is that should Congress fail to increase the debt ceiling this week, come November there will literally be millions of people in the United States who will have exactly zero dollars transferred to their EBT cards.
What will happen to the nearly 50 million people who depend on these benefits to survive?
Think this past weekend and multiply it across the entirety of the United States of America.
In the State of Utah the immediate effect of the USDA’s contingency plan will be a freeze in benefits for 100,000 people. Richard Phillips, a homeless man who depends on the government’s monthly distributions, warned what would happen next:
"It’s going to cause problems… because then you’re going to come to find out that you’re going to have people starting to steal and do what they have to do to survive."

Looks like EBT users are smarter than we thought. Now we know why the wal-marts in luzianne had such a rush this past weekend when the EBT cards turned in to AMEX Black cards with no limits for several hours. They were just stocking up in case things turned to crap on 11/1.

LOL, last weekends freeze of EBT was a test run, not a computer upgrade glitch.

We have food and lead stored; however, I’m going to “backup” all of our normal pantry items. Extra bags of flour, oats, sugar, etc. Again, these are stored and this is just a pantry backup.
It’s interesting to see on FR that people believe that exceeding the debt limit will cause the government to quit spending money. It will cause them to quit borrowing money, but it won’t cause them to quit spending it. They won’t have as much to spend, but they will certainly be taking care of their Democrat constituents first. They will also reluctantly continue to service the debt.

You miss the point they will not spend if it will cause trouble they want trouble. Look at how they are spending now selecting those things which will cause the most trouble. They want chaos and confusion.

Forget the grocery store, if the EBT cards stop, I’ll be going to the gun store and buying more ammo. Me and millions others no doubt.
Let’s take the issue away from Obama and mobilize churchs and other private charities. There are more options than just government money or starvation/rioting.
Still a lot of discussion if this is a real or fake letter. I’m just going to file it in my alert file and keep a close monitoring to the news. Next payday I’ll probably add to the pantry, more if it appears that the letter is real. Unfortunately I can no longer put it past this president / administration to do something this unreal.

The solution is not to cut off EBT, the solution is to grow the economy so that those that are able to work will find work and come off of EBT.

Of course they will riot, that’s human nature. Starvation turns most rational human beings into savage animals.
So continue the safety nets until the economy grows and removes the able working from them. That’s the sensible solution.
But Obama does not want to grow the economy. He wants to destroy certain sections of it and create more and more dependency for the purposes of control.
Cruz has a plan to grow the economy and it is a great one.
Ryan has one and it is mediocre at best.
Obama does not have one.

The downside is the outcome of such revolutions are not predictable. For example, the Bolshevik revolution.

What should happen is that they realize they traded their freedom for reliance on the government by voting for a man who wanted nothing but to own them. It seems many were willing to die for him, they don’t eat they just might have that opportunity.
