It won't be long until they begin diagnosing Tea Partiers -- I won't use their vulgar term for us -- as mentally ill, and set up the basis for us to be committed.

It will happen. Watch for it.

Apparently these 2 have never been mugged by reality. They live in a bubble.

Thanks for the biggest hoot I've had all week. I had to look to be sure this wasn't an Iowahawk parody.

It was fun, wasn't it? :)

I’m sorry...did you see a “scientist” writing up there? ‘Cause I didn’t.

Mooney: Again, this is an area where liberals and libertarians differ from conservatives markedly. Liberals and libertarians aren’t particularly tribal in the sense of having loyalty to their group

WTF?? - What about Bill Clinton's treatment of women, 0bama's lies about health care?? Liberals have stood by them no matter what, to the unfortunately not bitter end.

and they aren’t particularly authoritarian in the sense of thinking you have to follow a strong leader. And basically, authoritarianism is also associated with sort of black and white, ‘you’re with me or you’re against me’ thinking

Sure, sure - go over to Democratic Underground and see how gently and tactfully they deal with dissent.

But it’s also about deference to authority, whether that’s the police officer or your father or God. You must obey authority and if you don’t, that’s a moral wrong.

Sure, because it's way cool to be a smart ass to a guy who's making maybe $35 grand a year to deal with trailer trash and the dregs of society, keeping the peace sometimes in spite of the morons they have to deal with.

This guy has the authoritarian impulse turned on its head. The fascist murderers of the 20th century were all "progressives". 100 million dead beneficiaries of progressive goodness would testify to that, if they were still here.

The real end goal here is to set up conservatives as evil people, in need of therapy or even more draconian changes. Just like the propaganda films of the 1930's where Jews were protrayed as rats.

It won't be long until they begin diagnosing Tea Partiers --

I think they just did. Now they have to make the case that for our children's mental health they must be raised by the caring state. Everything will tie back to Obamacare - everything will relate to our physical and mental health -- and the good of the collective.

I’m sure that there is some psychological theory about why I made a spelling error...

I'm sure the author of the book would say it proves you are a stupid-head, and probably nuttier than a fruitcake as well. Now go make him a sammich.

I was “raging” at those stupid comments too! It’s as if they flip everything on it’s head - what they do or are, they say we do or are. (((shaking))) my head.

That is why the nation was set up as separate states with a federal gov’t only to deal with foreign entities.

Those with this bizzarro mindset can have it “over there in that state” and leave us sane people alone.

But NO... leftism/communism/Satanism doesn’t work that way.
They simply CAN’T let someone be.

The leftists behind this “study” are working from a false premise?

“Rage”? What rage?

Outrage, perhaps, but not “rage” .... “rage” seems to characterize the ranting, chanting, bellowing demands from the left and from islamists. I believe that psychologists refer to these leftists’ problem as “projection”.

Liberals and libertarians aren’t particularly tribal in the sense of having loyalty to their group

Really? 96% of a certain demographic voting for Obama wasn't "tribal" in nature?

Or if you have a contract, that as a government you are sworn to abide by, that if you don’t follow it to the letter... Folks are gonna get mad at you.

Jeepers. Can I get a multi-million dollar grant to research that?

Ultimately, the collectivist wants to worship.

Hence Caesars.

Children are a way for them to express their proclivity, with discomfiting guilt put at secondhand distance.

Can science explain Tea Party rage?

Yes.

All you need to do is form the following equation:

(Ct + Ps) * 2Ad^Vf = TPR

Where:

Ct = Constitution Trashing
Ps = Police State
2Ad = Second Amendment Destruction
Vf = Voter Fraud
TPR = Tea Party Rage

Scientists pretending that what belongs properly to philosophy is not philosophy, but can be determined by psychology. These guys need to read David Hume: “You can’t get an ought from an is.” Apparently, these researchers must have phone in their humanities credits when they went to college.

Morality that is emotion-based is not morality that Aristotle would recognise. They confuse the chemical reactions in the brain, which is measurable, with morality, which is not measurable.

But then this is Bill Moyers. Anyone could have predicted the outcome before he reported it.

How hard is it to come up with the logic that if you make a dollar and spend three that you have a spending problem. Where is the problem in understanding that?

Didn't some PHD show that spending 3 times what you take in is good for the economy?

Rage? There is no rage. It’s just people standing up for the Constitution.

All of these liberal jerks’ ancestors were probably loyalist in 1776 and thought the founders were radical nut jobs.

Didn’t they move to Canada?
