That implies that about 25% of women WOULD date an unemployed man? (assuming the absence of independent wealth.) How stupid.

There's a difference between somebody being "between jobs", and somebody being unemployed with few prospects of ever being employed again.

Now, consider the female outrage if a survey showed men uninterested in dating chubby single moms.

RE: They never understood he didn’t need to work.

1) This man is not good at explaining stuff.

2) Even if he could successfully explain stuff, he couldn’t find a woman who would love him for who he is instead of what he has.

3) Someone should have told him that he is never unloved — GOD LOVES HIM ( alas he never spoke to a priest or a pastor ).

During the last recession, men lost twice as many jobs as women did. All of the jobs that women in the United States lost during the last recession have been regained, but only about 70 percent of the jobs that men lost during the last recession have been regained.

Tell me again, when did we vote to send our manufacturing base to Asia?

technology means those jobs too will vanish.

manufacturing will come to your desk.

If you visit a brick and morter it will be because they have bigger 3d printers.

I have also found that “self-employed” is interpreted as “unemployed”. For eight years I was a business partner in an industrial instrument service company that also supplied integration services for process control (refineries, pipelines) and industrial automation. It did not matter that at the time I was working 60 hour weeks and serving multiple clients (ranging from a major refinery to a biomedical company). I was still an unemployed bum in the eyes of women. When I said I was a principal in the company, it was seen as a BS game, even though if they looked up the company name on Manta, they would see the revenues and my being listed as a VP. Yet they would go out with a dope dealer.

Well, you wouldn’t want to date dumb women like these would you? Consider yourself lucky you dodged these bullets. :)
