It will make people look in a different direction rather than concentrating on the emerging information that shows how this government was despicably complicit in the murders of Americans in Benghazi and then tried to cover it up.

But what exactly do people think such things will accomplish? They want to show and impress other people that they have feelings and that they care. Also, it makes them feel good inside to show others that they care. Its all about feeeeeelings

Surprised no one noticed the real backstory.
The BHs have terrorist members imprisoned. BH supporter Obama wants his soulmates freed, so this prisoner exchange will blunt criticism of US to free terrorists.
Kind of a repeat of the failed prisoner exchange at Benghazi, where the intent was to free the blind sheik.
