Illegals many say should continue to have benefits for they bring youth, energy and diverse skills to Maine. What is that suppose to mean ? Diverse skills, but no job skills ..qualify for food stamps & other benefits just bring youth, energy and diverse skills to Maine and your good to go..

Portland officials said they plan to maintain the status quo until they get more guidance from city councilors next month. And in response, the state should stop ALL funding for General Assistance to Portland until the October audit.

Absolutely they provide “diverse skills”. After all, very few Maine-iacs know anything about Somali-style warlordism.

These mentally disturbed illegals engage in tortuous arguments to justify their existence——adds up to a gargantuan sense of entitlement-—that Americans should consider themselves “privileged” to subsidize their every whim.

What? I thought illegals did the jobs Americans don’t want to do. Cashing a welfare check and sitting on your butt is a job millions of Americans want to do.
Send the squatters home.

:: The people who receive these benefits depend on them for housing and for food ::
Shelter and sustenance for transgressors of Federal Law. That must be in the “penumbra” of Amendment VIII?
That means we are punishing the immigrants with Constitutional protections!

They bring “youth and energy” what does this even mean??? Do not lawful and legal citizens’ kids bring youthfulness to the table or are they a different kind of “youth?” What about THEIR energy? You mean they just sit that like vegetables while the Hispanic kids run around in circles? And yeah gotta love those diverse skills. They sure give those hotel rooms a mean clean, and wash those dishes sparkling, serve them burgers with agility, and tend those lawns to the utmost perfection. Gawd I don’t mean to sound a bigot but these kinds of comments do make those defensive emotions rear up.

Three Maine cities rebuff state over no aid to undocumented immigrantsThey are not "undocumented immigrants." They are ILLEGAL ALIENS! Calling them undocumented immigrants is like calling shoplifting an "undocumented purchase."
To: moonshinner_09
How about some really big trucks to take them back across the border.

This is going to get interesting, everyone please keep in mind the Portland Press Herald is owned by extreme left wing Congressperson Chellie Pingree and her communist leaning husband.

Well, if the people of Portland want to subsidize "anyone in need of assistance", I think that's fine. The only catch is they cannot require state assistance for this or any other budget item. Portland cannot force the residents of any other city (or state) to subsidize their priorities.
Do what you wish, but you have to be able to pay for it yourself.

"How about some really big trucks to take them back across the border."Actually, a look inside Portland Public Housing books, indicate that more are leaving than coming in.

...This is a microcosm example of how the SHTF scenario is going to unfold across the nation. What happens when the cities’ funds dry up to house, feed, and cloth illegals and their EBT balance is Zero? Be armed. Be prepared. Hell is coming to breakfast.
